I was in Japan this week and snapped this at Bic Camera. The Switch games section was very busy, and there were ads for Pikmin 4 everywhere.

Get to buying now while it is cheap. Everything in Japan pretty much a deal comparatively.

02./00. [NSW] Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg # (Koei Tecmo) {2023.07.13} (¥5.800) - 16.101 / NEW

09./00. [PS5] Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg # (Koei Tecmo) {2023.07.13} (¥5.800) - 5.078 / NEW

Big difference. How long until sales are more evenly distributed?

This is the first Atelier where the Switch version sold so much more than even both PS versions combined. How do you get the idea that there is some kind of wait until the sales are more even? The franchise went from selling most on PS to selling most on Switch.

The games don't make use of PlayStation is strengths, like better fidelity. So there is really no reason to buy it on PlayStation instead of Switch. The latter being a mobile device is naturally more popular. If Atelier would utilize the power that PS offers, it might sell better on PS than Switch. But at the moment these games look underwhelming on PS5 and about what you expect on Switch.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Cool, what's your point?

That games like these will continue tell worse on PlayStation and will start to disappear pretty soon from the platform entirely.

Makes sense.
