That sounds logical, as I too predicted 2024-2025.
Again, I'm not out ruling that it might've already been discontinued in 2023. It's still available online from some mainstream retailers and stock doesn't dry up the second it's discontinued since the remaining stock still has to leave the factory and warehouses.
3DS still trickled out over 100,000 units after its official discontinuation in 2020.
Heck the Wii U sold a single brand-new unit in 2023 (not from a reseller) despite being discontinued in 2017.
