I'd say that depends on what's behind this upheaval and how it's managed. A decapitation like this can really poison the work atmosphere and I would expect Retro's quality to suffer as a consequence. On the other hand, it might allow new leaders to take control and revitalize the studio with new ideas and perspectives.
It's a pretty big change. Too soon to tell if it will be for better or for worse.
