I already spend more time at Reset. It is nice being to go to a videogame forum without the top threads being anti American nonsense.

vgc has definitely become a lot more political than in years past. personally, id like to see less of that featured on the front page, but it seems to be what gets people going around here (more than any other topic).

Around the Network

I can't find any more game forums that include politics, anybody know of any?

You can hide politics from the "Hot Topics" section, which will hide it from the front page forums section as well.

Go to the "Hot Topics" page ( https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/forums.php ), click "Show Filters", uncheck any sections (Politics Discussion, etc) you don't want to show up, then click "Save".

See Trunks comment, you can hide Politics from the front page, which is exactly how it would be on ResetEra if you were viewing Gaming Forum only.

ResetEra, which is far bigger than our Political section and far more 'Anti-American' (Lol). NeoGaf I believe has a political section too unless they changed, but I actively avoid looking at that site. These are likely the two biggest gaming forums by far.

A lot of forums have political boards, or even just general boards where political discussions happen. I just looked at a handful, and PC Gamer is the only one I saw that didn't have an obvious place for politics to go - and frankly that forum looks very dead.

I'm not sure that VGC has gotten more political, I think that there's just a lot less game conversation to match it.

Era is like 30x worse than we are when it comes to politics.

i do not remember vgc being anywhere near this political back in, say, 2009. but you very well may be correct that it could just be there was way more gaming focused discussion that drowned out those topics. even still, its hard for me to believe there was this much political discourse going on back then.
