I m getting tired of these delays... wander if Sony will ever make a big product in time on PS3..? Anyway my question is if u r the head of the company wot you will do if some team come upto you for upteenth time or make it lik twentieth time to delay the launch...? will u accept or will you fire or will you go with some other option... Surely i won't like a crappy product out of the door but at the same time i won't allow infinite delays either... if a team come for the second delay, this means that they r out of the back door... no way i m going to let them continue on that product atleast... if they can't plan properly then surely then can't create AT ALL... So i will dump that product and will either put that team on some other project or show them the exit door.. So wots ur take..?

well if i was manager i of a big gaming company, i would never announce my games till i know they'll be made on schedule.

Like if i was Geurilla Games...instead of announcing Killzone 2 like 2 years ago, I'd announce it this year.


Also I'd rather set the date too far away, then too soon. I'd rather say "it'll be out in december" and have it out in November, than the other way around.


The only company for PS3 that makes its games on time seems to be Insomniac. I EXPECT Resisatance 2 on time. I'd be shocked if they delayed it. such a great company.

For a product like HOME..

if they put it out n it was FULL of bugs, glitches, slow downs....THAT would give them horrible PR & would probably limit the success of home..

anyways, Sony needs some new executives, they are screwing this amazing piece of hardware with their bullshit promises. I am tired of waiting Sony, please give this console a chance.

depends what you expect from the project... I wouldn't give more delays for a crappy party game, but for the crown jewel of my company's catalog of products, I would give as much time as possible.
Firing the team is dumb it would put back the project even further. If you feel the people are incompetent, you do that at the beginning not at the end of a project.

just look at games you know have been released on time although there was presure to finish them and games that were delayed again and again... you'll see the later are much better products. (that said, games finished on time without presure are the better solution, but then, there is a hype effect that comes with delays).

well your right about that. All I'm thinking is people are pissed off at waiting for KZ2. People are already thinking it won't be out until 2009, I'd rather release it in time so it can get hype, but so its almost ready (final stages of production).

Just look how pissed people are at Haze. I was hyped for its November 2007 release. If ubisoft had waited until it was almost ready, then people would be happy.
