It's just hard to keep and put old consoles away without the box, while keeping it as protected and dust-free as possible.
Up until like 7 years ago I had the boxes of every nintendo home console (NES, SNES, N64, GC, WII, WII U) and some handhelds like DS all in pretty good shape. I thought it was a good idea to leave them at my parents house, their house is pretty big and they have this storage room with old stuff so I thought it would be OK.
This one time they were mad at me my mom decided to throw away everything without saying a word... needless to say I was pissed as fuck.
Over the years I sometimes feel relieved that I moved on from hoarding old boxes and sometimes feel really sad that I simply lost everything when I could have gotten some decent money at least, but I always make sure to nag my mom about the money she threw away whenever I have the chance lol
