It looks like, after it was a seemingly foregone conclusion that Larry Ellison's son would add Warner Bros to his media empire, that Netflix is going to come out the winner in the race to buy Warner Bros. That means they'll own DC, Harry Potter, and Mortal Kombat, among many other properties. Honestly, Netflix was a better option than Paramount/Skydance, especially with the way Bari Weiss was salivating at the prospect of taking over CNN.

Meanwhile, the Ellisons are trying fir a hostile takeover for $100bn that includes WBD's cable assets, which Netflix didn't want. Ellison and Trump are really spoiling to put Bari Weiss in charge of CNN, and I can only imagine the ghoulish things that the Trump administration will do with DC once they don't have to deal with cease-and-desist orders like they do with the creator of Franklin and Sabrina Carpenter.
