Square and Insomniac are sure carrying PS5 the first half it it's life it seems. 

They are carrying PS5 this year but definitely not the first half of PS5's life all themselves. Pretty sure Guerilla Games and Sony Santa Monica did some heavy lifting last year.

Crossfire: Sierra Squad (VR2)

Honkai: Rail Star

Baldur's Gates 3 (first on PS5/ PC)

Twisted Metal TV show (LOL)

FF7: Rebirth

Crossfire failed on Xbox. It's so generic looking. It can be any game. The Crossfire series is just not very good but Korea loves them. You can bet it will shutdown within a year after launch for PSVR esp since so few even own one and even fewer would buy that.

Still these studios only released one game. Insomniac will have released 3 new games by October and Square will also have released 3 PS5 exclusives by 2024. Though God of War did make a huge impact. Horizon was forgotten pretty fast due to Elden Ring.

 Maybe next time Sony won't release a Horizon game so close to a Japan-hyped open-world game. Stolen their thunder twice now.

Pretty sure it supports SP too, so I imagine it'll be fine.

It was also bundled by an insane amount and at the time people got every PS5 they could find. It was also outsold by GOW in less than a month if the software sales of NPD are to be believe. 

This feels like a weird take. A game is forgotten because other games did better?

Aside from Spider-Man, God of War Ragnarok was far and away the biggest PlayStation Studios game ever. That feels like a poor comparison. In a span of 3 months, it basically sold 11 million copies. Compare that to God of War 2018, which took over a year to sell 10 million units; and that also is pretty comfortably one of PlayStation Studios fastest selling games. 

Horizon 2 is probably behind Spider-Man 1, Miles Morales, God of War 2018, God of War Ragnarok, Uncharted 4, pretty much neck and neck with Horizon 1.

Ahead of The Last of Us 1 by a little bit, ahead of The Last of Us 2 (due to poor legs). 

It is probably in the low top 10 (probably like 8th) of the fastest selling games that Sony has ever published out of the hundreds if not low thousands they've published.  

Even if you want to discount bundles, 7 or more million units is still great in the scheme of things.
