The multiplayer horizon title has finally been officially revealed.

I really like the cartoony art style and the colors. It's a shame that it isn't a survivor-base builder but I'm interested anyway.
If they announcing it today instead of in a show has anything to do with low expectations or low budget then that makes it even better for me. I wasn't sure how I was going to react to the art style based in the leaks of 5 years ago but it really looks like a pretty animated movie, I love it and I'm ready to see the internet hating on it because people only like stuff if they are ultra realistic or if they look like anime LOL.

I liked the artstyle, and the ninja like girl seems cool.
Don't like that it will be cannon, at all, specially as it'll be a live service game, hopefully it's only cannon during the launch and in the main story.
Seems like it's a mix of Apex Legends with Monster Hunter like enemies, it might work well, will keep an eye on it.
I think it doesn't have any PVP. Looks to me like they're trying to do a more helldivers esque approach with different PVE mission types. But more casual.
I had to double take when I initially saw the trailer for Horizon Hunters Gathering.
I'm surprised Sony just randomly revealed it rather than having it as part of a State of Play. Was it to mitigate the negative reactions? That's going to happen for essentially any multiplayer game nowadays. I don't mind the art style itself, and the gameplay actually looks good, especially the melee combat which was underwhelming in HFW. I'm glad they offer a story mode you can play with NPC's as an option.
Quite a few will probably try and will a bomb out of this though.

The reveal here is safer than an SOP. They also have a lot more time to set up the context and reiterate the important of SP narrative games in the development catalogue.
I think we can expect this not to show up in any SOP till launch. Maybe it'll have its own dedicated one, at least.
PlayStation first party titles have apparently made over $4.2 Billion on non-playstation platforms since Q1 21.
That's much more than I would have thought.
I wonder how much of that is MTX in games like Helldivers and Destiny because of it we're just game sales we'd be looking at well over 70m games sold lol.

And they were right I guess, the internet is hating on it hard as expected LOL.
I'm very much interested tho.
Btw Yotei a proved success.
Ghost's already established itself as a big PlayStation franchise and it happened in the most natural way possible, the internet didn't make it any easier for Sucker Punch but it all went well, people supported great work and now they are safe. Probably even we'll get dlc similar to Iki Island now because they said last year an expansion would depend of the fans reception.
Next up is SAROS.
Oh and there's a rumor that the Bend's cancelled game was using the Decima Engine so that's cool, hopefully the game they started while working in that project that now is their main project is using it too and other studios like Housemarque and Firesprite make the jump after finishing their Unreal Engine projects.
