Looks like 2K blinked! How Randy to leak his own release date lmao. Moving the game up by 11 days has to be a calculated move after seeing Marathon's release date.

EDIT: This did hit me that it could be tied to GTA 6 release date being end of Sep/early October. Would suck for Ghost of Yotei if that ended up being the case.

Speaking of which, some promising things Bungie have mentioned about the game. I'll keep a look out for the beta build of the game.

Borderlands in going to release 11 days earlier. It's like GTA at the end of October-beginning of November is imminent, let me act surprised :o !!!

No but seriously, if someone knew this was Sony. Shadow dropping the date for Ghost to give it that extra month of preorders was done under survival mode, TTI has the nuclear option lol.

It looks like Sony is considering spinning off their semi-conductor business to go all in on their entertainment divisions via Bloomberg. They are also planning to spin off their financial division later this year.

A24 is really the only big move Sony can make for their entertainment divisions outside of gaming. We got rumors of Kadokawa late last year, but its interesting that Bandai Namco is working on a few dormant Japan Studio IP's.

Last year they announced their partnership with the NFL, that includes audio, communication inside the field, cameras, the hawk eye camera and the creation of virtual content. That partnership starts this season so it's going to be interesting how that works.

Last year they also bought the rights for Queen music, in theory that was the reason why they wouldn't have enough cash to buy Kadokawa. Let's see what they will do with their new acquisition budget for this year if they already decided to focus on entertainment.

The change in release date for B4 is good. It best supports both Take2 and Sony and ultimately the PS5 too.

Sony is going to have a good couple of months with B4, Marathon, Yotei and GTA6.

I just hope GTA6 isnt delayed lol

Thats a day 1 purchase for me.

AAAAAAAAAH! BOLTGUN IS COMING TO PS PLUS! If you like Doomer Shooters, then play it! It's fantastic! You don't need to know the 40K universe. It's just damn fun!

Might give this a go. But will most likely just keep it for an empty month next year.

otherwse, not really a PS+ month for me. But can look to Dragon Age Veilguard I suppose.

If anyone wants to buy a PS5 you might want to do so ASAP. With Xbox prices going up due to "market conditions" I wouldn't be surprised if Sony does the same.

I don't think buying Queen's catalog is the reason they didn't buy Kadokawa lol. They bought Michael Jackson's catalog a few years ago around the same time they were interested in Paramount.

Sony has already said they are willing to exceed their mid range investment allocation if need be.
