Jason Schreirer said Intergalactic won't come before 2027.
Massive bummer we will only get a Naughty Dog game 7 years after TLoU 2.

It's the outcome of what the AAA space has been working towards. I never understand why there are those who ask "where's XXXX next game???" even though it's only been like 2-3 years. Too many are still in denial about the state of the AAA landscape.

I remember when Schreier made this statement back in January 2023, "Fun fact: Video game production cycles have gotten so long that if a big-budget game studio started working on a brand new project today, it would likely be for the PlayStation 6."

Gamers, as per usual, were praising when it was announced how many Sony games cost $200-$300 million dollars to make without realizing the consequences of such budgets.

A big Fuck you to whoever designed the Hell House boss in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

Its epic but annoyed the shit out of me.

Reminded me of the helicopter boss from FFXIII

Edit: Skytank is the name - took me 40 minutes, Hell House at least took me 20 minutes so not as bad but the changing barrier and the "God House Mode" barrier annoyed me. Managed to beat it first try but still lol.

Rockstar has already conditioned me for the "one game per generation" for premiere studios like Naughty Dog and CDPR lol.

But I honestly don't mind these wait times. There's just so much to play and not nearly enough time to do it. I just want tentpoles like GTA6 to deliver at the end of the day.

And honestly Sony is ahead of the curb when it comes to mitigating long development times.

Astro Bot, Miles Morales, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, and the rumored GoW side story coming out later this year, these things were greenlit before the PS5 even launched, mostly under big bad Jim Ryan lol.

Long development time sucks.

But at the very least plenty of games out there to play.

If it took you that long in a single try then yes, it's an annoying mf. But I died a number of times trying to figure out how to beat it optimally with a minimal amount of brute forcing. So watching the same cutscenes over and over again was the annoying part to me. This boss kinda forced me to improve my understanding to the mechanics, especially slow ass Aerith's.

Don't forget to try it on hard lol. Remake and Rebirth have some of the best hard modes in gaming.

you really have to have elements. Apparently really easy if you counter its elements and stagger/pressure it. I can't confirm, I suck. But still/

When I do a repeat playthrough, I'll do that likely on PS5 - is hard mode unlocked from the beginning? Cant remember.

I'm playing on Steam but I do have the PS5 versions of Remake and Rebirth as well (yes I double dipped lol).

I did

Had Fire and Thunder on Cloud - Aerith had Ice and Aero. I like having access to all elements incase if I encounter a boss and when I did the scan ability and read its description....I knew I was gonna have a long battle lol.

My main issue was whenever I tried to cast a spell, either it did God House Mode which made it reduce the damage heavily or it tackled Cloud or Aerith with its rushing attacks.

People need to be realistic right now man. Naughty Dog fucked up with TLOU multiplayer, that doesn't mean they are a bad studio or they are going to close or anything extreme but they wasted a lot of time. They were too ambitious and a project that should have been a dlc for TLOU 2 became an studio effort, completely unsustainable. Intergalactic is probably going to release until 2027 becase technically is the second game they make since TLOU2 release.

And that extends to all of PlayStation. Going all in on services, games getting too big and expensive, a global pandemic pushing back projects, an all time low flop, cancelling around 10 projects. People get mad and bitch on the internet because the SoP didn't meet their expectations or they didn't get a big announcement for GOW anniversary date when it's like dude PlayStation has bigger problems than meeting your unrealistic expectations lol and yet not all is lost, all these problems exploded at the perfect time.

With games like Helldivers 2, Wukong, Monster Hunter, GTA6, the forever services, they have a security blanked that is giving them the time to change for good and they are actually doing it. The services push is done even when there are services in development, looks like Astro Bot actually and finally opened a window for more family games, opening studios instead of buying them, finally publishing the games they pay for on pc, making partnerships for projects that are Sony property and of course what you said, in the middle of the service push they were able to see the value in small projects, we got 3 of them last year and it looks like we'll get one more this year (two if you want to count Lost Souls).

People who want to complain are going to complain doesn't matter what but I would expect that at least the "fans"can understand the reality (obviously not talking about you lol).
