Oh, I don't think they'll be crazy enough to actually rule in Trump's favor in the end, but taking up this ridiculous farce in the first place, let alone going out of their way to stretch out the process as long as possible when they had ample opportunity not to, really tips their hand as to what a partisan sham the court has been turned into.

I believe we are still good to get this put to trial before the election as long as this oral arguments part does not drag but we will see.  I will say my faith in this SC is not strong but lets see how far the GOP majority is willing to give Trump a pass.

They adamantly stated they would never overturn Roe v Wade because it was established case law (I can link to video and transcriptions of this).  And as soon as they got a majority, basically said, "Fuck established case law" and overturned it in the Dobbs decision.

To say absolutely nothing about the blatant hypocrisy of Fani Willis getting grilled over how a dinner date tab was split and the complete blind eye to Clarence Thomas taking million dollar trips by litigants or his wife having direct involvement in J6 and the election certification denial scheme.

I no longer have any faith in their capacity to adjudicate impartially.

To the privileged, equality feels like oppression.

The United States is paying a high price for how Anita Hill was treated 30 years ago. The GOP's desperation to punish the country for rejecting Robert Bork has done a lot to deligitimize one of the three key branches of government.

On the upside, Kyrsten Sinema is not seeking re-election for her Senate seat in Arizona. She apparently figured out that alienating her own base to try to court the cult (who are backing Kari Lake for Senate) was a losing strategy.

This improves the odds that Ruben Gallego will be able to hold that seat for the Democrats in November.

I can not believe the GOP let Trump trick them into supporting him again. Don't they realize that everyone who voted for Biden is insulted by the effort to overturn their vote and they are not gonna magically start supporting Trump?

Seems like Biden's speech went great, so much so that Republicans are coping by changing their tune from "Biden is senile!" to "Biden is on drugs!" for having such a lively speech, although, Cocaine Joe has a nice ring to it.

And what the actual fuck is this?

Bruh this is some creepy shitty acting, Lmao.

I wonder if we'll see an NYT article saying "was Biden too energetic for his age?" sometime soon.
