Bloomberg also made an article saying that Hassett said on Fox News that Trump is considering a 90 day pause (untrue).

CNBC has just talked to the press secretary and she said it was fake news.

I'm absolutely convinced someone spread this to pump and dump.

This just exposed how easy it is to manipulate the stock market, someone spreads some nonsense on Twitter, a single news outlet reports on it, the market dived on it in an instant and now many just got the rug pulled on them. I wonder how wild the market will be when the actually brutal tariffs come into effect on April 9th. We've not even hit the worst of things yet, hold onto your butts for the insane market manipulation that's going to happen now that we know Twitter has the power to drastically change the stock market, Lol. Rich people going to take advantage of the chaos.

The Dow jones is now flailing wildly into both directions, pure chaos on the stock market from just one rumour.

This may be the source.

There was confusion in a lot of the coverage I saw about the source and timing of the brief rally, since Hassett hadn’t been on tv since around 8am and didn’t say what was reported. It appears to me that this widely followed account who pretends to be Bloomberg (but isn’t) might provide an answer.

We're likely not going to see a big dip today now, the bullshit rumour saved the market for a day, there's too much confusion now and some of the market believe that there's a chance of a 90 day pause either way or desperately want to believe it, I think we're just going to have to wait until April 9th now so they can see for certain if Trump is bluffing or not, we've not yet hit the worst of the tariffs and yet we're in utter chaos.
