Wasn't what they said or did at all, as Pi-Guy said, you're being completely dishonest.

They said a common sense thing; Trust the scientists, if the scientists say the vaccine is safe then get the vaccine. There's nothing wrong in saying this, Lmao. If on the other hand the scientists said the vaccine was dangerous but Trump said it was fine, who are you going to trust? Actual professionals in their field or some orange twat who doesn't know anything about vaccines?

Good thing the scientists said the vaccines were safe, therefore we defer back to Democrats point of "If the scientists say it's safe, get the vaccine" therefore, as soon as the scientists said it was safe, the Democrats were in effect telling everyone to then get the vaccine because it's the scientists we should trust above any politician at the end of the day.

The implication was that Trump is going to force a vax that hadn't been okayed by the scientific community. What's the vax uptake rate amongst minorities and other groups that are less likely to trust the government in the US?

Which all became irrelevant when the scientific community okayed the vaccine. As soon as the scientist said it was fine, that was the Democrats saying it's fine, Lol. I'm aware that there is distrust amongst minorities towards the US Government...Good thing the Democrats are saying to trust the scientist then? Lol.

There's some real fucking morons in government that I don't trust, for example, I sure as shit wouldn't trust any medical advice from someone like RFK Jr and would rather wait for an actual medical or scientific professional. Trump has made his fair share of stupid suggestions in the past which I wouldn't blindly follow just because he's the President of the United States.

Same way I don't listen to twats on YouTube who claim to be experts on a thing they've got zero understanding of, I listen to the actual professionals, as everyone should, as the Democrats are suggesting we do. I don't blindly follow everything the leader of a country tells me to think/do if it's not something they're not a professional in.

If Trump said the vaccine was good but scientists said it was bad, I wouldn't get the vaccine, because Trump's opinion is irrelevant in this matter, he is not a scientist, he is not a medical professional. But as soon as the scientists and medical professionals said it was fine, I would go right out and get that vaccine, the Democrats are telling you to trust the actual professionals, nothing more.

Say what you will about Kamala Harris... But she seems to have made some accurate predictions in regards to Trumps economic policy during the election campaign.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

1) Trump will invite a recession before the middle of the year. - This is happening now.
2) Re-ignite inflation. - Definitely happening as the price of goods and services sky rocket.

Healthcare is free in the US if you cant afford it. Yeah you'll have to sell everything you own and your kids wont have an inheritance but you'll be seen same day and be operated on within days. The RoW should be greatful at how much the US invests in healthcare cos we all benefit from the subsidy.

I'm not gonna dignify military subsidies with a response because its self evident.

American healthcare is garbage. - You need a fully subsidized universal system with cost controls in place. - Unfortunately the American aversion to "It's socialism!" will prevent any common sense on this ongoing and systemic issue, despite the fact it's been proven to be extremely effective elsewhere in countries all over the planet.

I have family living in the USA... You pay more for healthcare, you have lower quality care and it takes longer to receive care, your current system is full of opportunists to make the maximum amount of money.

There is no point in "investing" in healthcare if it's just going to big business and the rich while those seeking assistance still miss out.

You should never need to go into crippling debt or sell your home to receive healthcare.

Bro we'd still be locked down without Pfizer and Moderna or have to accept extra deaths with AstraZen. China and the EU were raiding warehouses to steal our vaccine. Let's not pretend the US has reached those fascistic levels yet.

AstraZenica is a British/Swedish vaccine.
Moderna and Pfizer is an American vaccine.

However we need to remember that the British and the Americans weren't the SOLE developers of these vaccines, other nations across Europe, South America, Australia and New Zealand invested and aided in the research and development of these vaccines... And even production. - They were world-wide efforts.

I am also unable to find evidence that China and the EU raided warehouses to steal American vaccines, that may potentially just be a bullshit conspiracy theory.

We need to remember that the modern world is interconnected, the USA can't do everything by itself.

There was never any possibility of a "Trump vaccine" that the regulators didn't approve so what was the point in even suggesting it other than to promote skepticism? Politics.

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/03/24/europe/eu-vaccine-export-controls-intl/index.html

The EU was late to negotaiating vaccines cos they hoped Germany/France would be successful making their own. They tried to steal vaccines headed for the UK to cover up their incompetence. Makes Trumps actions look mediocre in comparison. Imagine stealing another country's life saving medicine just cos you fucked up by not ordering in time.

The EU (and Russia and China) tried to overplay the side effects from AZ even though it was the most effective treatment at the time. The antivax hypocrisy is hilarious tbh. The EU were worried about not making money from the vaccine even though Oxford had already signed a deal to make AZ available at cost ($4) instead of charging a 10x like Pfizer.

No, millions and billions of dollars are going to be paid by the consumer.  Or do you have this belief that the companies are just going to absorb the cost of those tariffs.  Not exactly sure where you are going with this line of thinking.  So exactly how will that help the US.  So, with prices going up globally because Trump decided to levy tariffs everywhere, now all spending in the US will be lowered significantly.

That means most business will not be able to support their staff If products do not sell, companies will need to reduce the work force or go under.  If the workforce is reduced than there will be many people without a job and thus not buying anything.  If people are not buying those products then the return from the tariffs is much smaller all the while you are building a huge out of work source of consumers.

Now you can say this would be a great time for billionaires to take advantage of the chaos.  They can purchase a few business for pennies on the dollar or they can purchase huge chunks of stocks within other companies etc.  There is nothing here that is a tax on corporations but instead an incentive for the rick to become richer while the country burns for a period of time but who cares about those wage earners.

Newsflash all of a company's costs are passed on to the consumer.

Than what exactly are you saying.  Still have not made a point yet or are you just throwing out stuff in the win with no real rationale or objective.

Peter Navarro responds to Vietnam's offer to remove all tariffs: "This is not a negotiation. This is a national emergency based on a trade deficit that's gotten out of control because of cheating," Trump's trade adviser says on @SundayFutures. "Don't say you want to lower the tariffs and be done with it. It's the non-tariff cheating. Stop manipulating your currencies. Stop dumping stuff

Lmfao. And yet people will still defend them.

In a Saturday X post, the Tesla CEO ripped Peter Navarro as someone who “ain’t built s--t” and shaded his Harvard PhD in economics as “a bad thing, not a good thing.”

Elon Musk has taken a massive swipe at President Donald Trump’s trade adviser amid the deepening economic chaos caused by the sweeping “Liberation Day” tariffs. Musk, who’s openly expressed disdain for Ivy League institutions, commented, “yup” under a quote from U.S. economist Thomas Sowell that read: “In every disaster throughout American history, there always seems to be a man from Harvard in the middle of it.”

Elon Musk Melts Down at Trump’s Tariff Guru Peter Navarro as Feud Goes Public

Nobody in his admin has a fucking clue what is going on based on how many different statements we've received and them now gunning for each other, I remember only yesterday one his them said "Don't worry, don't retaliate, everything will be okay" only for Peter Navarro to then say "Fuck off. Fuck you all" and now Musk melting down at Navarro too.

Markets hate Trump's doubling down.

  • Dow Futures are down 1,500 points.
  • S&P down 4%
  • Nasdaq down 4%

This follows a market wipeout to end last week:

  • The Dow posted back-to-back losses of more than 1,500 points for the first time ever, including a 2,231-point shellacking on Friday.
  • The S&P 500 dropped 6% on Friday for its worst performance since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020. The benchmark lost 10% in two days, pushing it to more than 17% below its February record, perilously close to a 20% bear market.
  • The Nasdaq Composite entered a bear market Friday — down 22% from its record — after losses on Thursday and Friday of nearly 6% apiece.

U.S. Crude Oil Falls Below $60 a Barrel To Lowest Since 2021 on Tariff-Fuelled Recession Fears

This is kind of funny because...

"Producers surveyed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in March 2024 reported they would need to sell oil at "breakeven" prices of about $64 a barrel in order to make a profit from drilling new wells."

American oil is about to become unprofitable, Lol.
