In the first election that Donald Trump won. These people were screeching "Bernie or Bust" and other more rational news channels were saying "No, you don't want Trump winning and assigning people to the Supreme Court" and the Social Media & Internet Media/Youtube were shouting back "No, that's not important. Bernie or Bust is what's important!" "You guys are being useful idiots for the Republican Party by mindfucking so many potential Democratic voters" then the response "No, YOU'RE being the useful idiots! Because, after the US sees how bad Trump is, they'll strongly support the far left." "That's not gonna happen."

Then later, they were either silent or saying "Hey, it turns out we were wrong, oops!" and others are like "Yeah, you were fucking wrong, why didn't you listen to us? Why did you help screw the country for years and years to come?" "WE SAID WE WERE WRONG! GET OVER IT!" - and move on with no lessons learned.

With no lessons learned, they tried similar shit in 2020. Shortly after, FORCE THE VOTE! Without stopping and thinking about how dumb and counter-productive this shit is. And "AOC didn't force the vote, SHE'S NOW OUR ENEMY!" bullshit is simply counter-leftist rhetoric by people who claim to be leftist.

And 2024's election, the exact same shit happens with the whole Project 2025 thing."We're going to entertain the idea of a republican government because the Democrats aren't doing things our way." "That's stupid, have you actually read Project 2025, it was authored by dozens of MAGA Republicans." Their reponse: "Project 2025 isn't serious, you're being alarmist. Ignore it. Instead, let's tell people to attack the Democrats over a litany of issues" "Those issues don't matter right now"

And then once again, shortly after Trump's in: "Whoops! looks like we were wrong! Go figure?" "Why do you keep doing this?" "NO! WHY DO YOU KEEP ATTACKING US! WE APOLOGIZED ALREADY! THEREFORE WE BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITY"

And the exact same channels are largely responsible each time. Some of these channels have hundreds of millions of viewers per month - The Young Turks has this volume of views, and maintain over 27 million followers across multiple platforms (Youtube, Facebook, TikTok, etc...). And given how slim the margins were in both elections, especially the first one, it's doubtless these assholes had a deciding impact. But we even had guys in this forum doing the whole Bernie or Bust Bullshit two elections in a row.

And my disdain for Bernie or Bust isn't a knock on the views of Bernie Sanders, I agree with almost everything Bernie Sanders stands for. But this fucking cult-like stupidity that surrounded his campaigns was profoundly damaging to the left, and many people spotted this shit from lightyears away. But stupidity is like a virus, and so many were infected through these Internet media and social media channels. They truly mind-fucked a lot of people who would have otherwise supported the Democratic Party, and it ended up leading us to the dire state of the US we're currently in. It's something that could have been avoided, and none of these assholes will learn a lesson because they're just as stupid as MAGA - just the useful idiots who claim to be leftist, despite holding certain people in messianic regard. These people are will criticize the Republican Party to no end when it suits them, but when it matters, they often turn their guns directly at the Democratic Party - the only shot at a reasonable government in the US - many of them excuse their actions, claiming can't see much difference between the Democratic Party and the MAGA Republican Party - in this very forum (Don't know if they still post here) at least one Bernie Sanders fan kept saying that Elizabeth Warren was worse than Donald Trump - these people are stupid beyond hope, short of liberation from the Internet and Social Media.

Top Democrat rejects genocide allegations against Israel

Chuck Schumer, the minority leader of the US Senate, says allegations of genocide against Israel increase anti-Semitism because they make Israel and Jewish people “look like monsters”.

In a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times, the top Democrat rejected the allegations of genocide – including by a UN commission and rights experts – by turning the focus on Hamas and saying the Palestinian group is “much closer to genocidal than Israel”.

“If Israel was not provoked and just invaded Gaza and shot at random Palestinians, Gazans, that would be genocide. That’s not what happened. In fact, the opposite happened,” Schumer said.

“And I told Netanyahu, I said to him what I thought: You gotta reduce the number of casualties and make sure aid gets in and stuff like that. Here is the difficulty: Hamas has a different way of waging warfare, of using innocent Gazans as human shields. They put rockets in hospitals. They put their military supplies in schools. What is a country supposed to do when rockets are being fired from a school? So Israel’s been in a much more difficult position because of what Hamas did.”

The comments come after a UN probe last week found that Israel had committed genocidal acts by systematically destroying women’s healthcare facilities. Amnesty International issued a report in December saying that Israel had committed at least three of the five acts banned by the 1948 Genocide Convention, namely killings, causing serious bodily or mental harm, and deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about a protected group’s physical destruction.
