Sanders isn't the first to point out Walz's potential to rally working-class voters. As Business Insider's John Dorman reported, Walz could help connect with rural and working-class voters who are unsure about voting blue. Multiple Minnesota labor leaders have voiced support for Walz in an open letter to Harris, calling him an "essential partner in winning in November."

The Midwestern Democrat has also taken it upon himself to pit his rural roots against former President Donald Trump's VP pick, JD Vance, who is from Ohio. Walz is seen as a candidate who understands the working class and can rally rural voters.

Both Bernie and Pelosi want Walz, House is behind him and Biden is a big fan too.

“I’m sitting here scratching my head,” Bobby Saparow, a Republican operative and Brian Kemp’s former campaign manager, told POLITICO. “Attacking the popular governor of a pivotal swing state makes zero sense. If we want to actually unite, ask for the support of the guy who beat your endorsed primary opponent by 52 points and handily defeated Stacey Abrams.”

Or, as Erick Erickson, the Georgia Republican and radio host, told POLITICO: “Over 30,000 people refused to vote for [Trump] in Georgia in 2020 and he lost by about 12,000 votes. All he’s doing is reminding everyone why they don’t like him. And he has no Georgia ground game and will have to rely on Kemp. It’s going to hurt him.”

Trump's just going to go to swing states, tell them why their state sucks ass then attack their popular representatives isn't he? 💀

Trump isn't only old, he's suffering a worse mental decline than Biden at this point. He also lacks the discipline to stick to a strategy that can provide a winning chance. Republicans in Georgia may very well side with their governor and as a result keep Trump out of the White House; after all, their current situation under a Democratic POTUS and a Republican governor isn't bad at all, so what's the harm in allowing Harris to take over from Biden.

The Trump campaign's overarching theme is about telling Americans how much their lives suck and that Trump is their only possible savior, but this hasn't quite the same ring to it when it's being told to people whose lives don't suck. The whole thing can quickly flip from savior to threat in voters' minds, because even Americans' tremendous stupidity has to have a limit somewhere.
