Can't bring that up anymore when democrats just discarded 14 million primary votes.  All because they lied about Joe's ability for years.  Bring up every quote singing his praises and mental competence from every democrat including Harris.  All lies

1.) Democrats voted for Biden and Harris. Biden decided to step down, he wasn't legally obligated/contracted to stay in the election. And they still get Harris, because you know that's how the pair works when you vote.

2.) Democrats didn't have some kind of meeting where they all met Joe Biden and knew he was struggling.

3.) Even if they did do that, Biden has had plenty of ups and downs, he hasn't been incapacitated for years, and it's just now coming to light. He's clearly been declining this past year in particular.

Voted for her as vice president.  Either he steps down right now or he's talking out both sides of his mouth.

Republicans suddenly learning one of the reasons why Vice-Presidents exist.

Sorry Republicans but your desperate attempts to make the Democrats mad at the Democrat Party is failing hard.

Nobody cares this hard aside from Republicans, especially not coming from a party who tried to overthrow an election.

Hope Biden stays as President, very easy to say that he can cope with another 6 months but not another 4 years

Especially since Republicans are still screaming at Biden and distracted from actually going after Harris.

That's not how any of this is set up to work.

And it's not how any of it could work, if you spent 8 rational seconds thinking about it. Again, the people voted to nominate someone, that someone isn't obligated to take that nomination.

Nice start but it's too early to look too deeply into the polls but either way.

Again though, too early, will need a few weeks of campaigning + DNC + her VP announcement.

But Trump's camp are pre-emptively damage controlling.

Safer to lose a Governor seat than a Senator seat, Shapiro is probably better for the EC but Kelly neutralises a lot of Republicans attacks, they will struggle to find an attack angle on him. Harris probably works better with Kelly as well. Hmm. It's a tough decision but in the best way possible where both choices are brilliant.

Quick word on this subject. Correct me if I'm wrong but here is how I think the process works in these states.

PA Governor: In the event of a resignation, the Lt Governor serves the remaining term of Gov. That means the PA Governor's seat will remain blue until the 2026 election.

AZ Senate: In the event of a resignation, the seat is to be filled by a member of the same party until the next general election. That means the AZ Senate seat will remain blue until the 2026 election.

That was my main concern about both of them, but both of those scenarios are fine with me. We may get a weaker candidate in 2026 that we otherwise would have had, but if it gets us the presidency it's worth it (and obviously they don't have to step down if they don't win). As for who I'd prefer, I'm not sure. I personally like Kelly more but Shapiro may help more in PA (which is going to be very important) and he may also help moderate those who are concerned about Harris' more pro-Palestine messaging. Both would be great choices though.
