She already does better, severely diminishing the chances Trump will run away with the elections. Swing state votes lost because of #NeverBiden can safely vote for Harris. For that I'm very grateful to Biden for doing the right thing, albeit late and leaving a big mess in the ME.
It's pretty exciting for the possibility of Kamala Harris to become the first elected female president of the US. She stands a much better chance than Biden, especially against a pussy grabbing convicted felon. |
Might be the over-reactionary in me that's making me cautiously optimistic this morning, but when Kamala wins, AIPAC will pose less of a threat post elections and hopefully Kamala will be emboldened to do right thing, I know it will mean Gazans haven't had a single night of good sleep for a year, but that's where we are. The UK can follow suit since their embarrassing stance is rooted in the USA stance and not wanting to leave their biggest ally completely alone. Don't forget Biden is a huge a zionist, belongs to a much older generation, and his friendship with Netanyahu has always been strong. Kamala can truly be unburdened by what has been when she wins. One can hope... |
Biden can do one more 'good' deed. Make his speech on Wednesday to obliterate the impact of Netanyahu speaking to (Republicans) congress coming Wednesday.
The timing of Biden stepping down has some silver lining. MAGA doesn't know what to do and Trumps biggest supporter, Netanyahu's Israel, is robbed of the spotlight this week. News will be about Biden and Harris, not Netanyahu praising Trump and thanking the USA for military (genocide) support, lobbying for protection against a two state solution and further support for annexation of the west bank.
Anyway yeah, some hope is back. The future is not looking as gloomy as it was last week.
Harris also has good ties with Africa and is for improving relations there

With South Africa leading the genocide case and many African nations feeling the same about what's happening in Gaza, some more hope it rubs off on Harris.
She also has ties with the Global South, with her father being from Jamaica and mother from Southern India. She's already much more aware of geo politics and the effect on the world than Biden ever was.
Harris could become first Black woman, first person of South Asian descent to be president

She’s already broken barriers, and now Kamala Harris could shatter several more after President Joe Biden abruptly ended his reelection bid and endorsed her.
Biden announced Sunday that he was stepping aside after a disastrous debate performance catalyzed fears that the 81-year-old was too frail for a second term.
Harris is the first woman, Black person or person of South Asian descent to serve as vice president. If she becomes the Democratic nominee and defeats Republican candidate Donald Trump in November, she would be the first woman to serve as president.
Biden said Sunday that choosing Harris as his running mate was “the best decision I’ve made” and endorsed her as his successor.
“Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump,” he wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “Let’s do this.”
It will be a historical election.
