The Final Fantasy series got me into JRPGs, but I only played main entries since I don't do handheld gaming. This means I missed this PSP-only game. Does this remaster fill me in on an integral part of FFVII?

I just finished it 2 days ago on pc, i didnt have a psp back at time and im glad they re released this gem. Really enjoyed my time.

I remember playing this on PSP and finding the combat kinda clunky, maybe the remaster smooths it out. Also, wasn't a fan of the roulette thing in combat (DMW).

Yeaaaa, that RNGesus stuff in combat is a bit lame lol

It's kinda OP.

I was fighting a summon, I don't remember it's name... The second one you fight in the story. Well, it was almost killing me. Then the DMW gave me full status, buffs, and a lot of special attacks. I almost became invencible.
