Quickly my 2 cents.

-Games from indie devs not having a xbox version is not weird or uncommon but if you go outside the Xbox community you will find it is a complaint every fanbase makes.

Why is Nobody save the world on xbox first/only while the other games from that studio were exclusive for PS.

Why is Rogue Legacy 2 the sequel to one of the biggest praisest exclusive indie games on PS first/only on xbox.

Why is Vampire survivors one of the surprise hits of last year only on Xbox?

Why is Valheim only on Xbox?

Why are some Kemco games not on switch or not on PS but are on Xbox and thats an Japanese game studio/Publisher!!

- Tokyo Gameshow last year for Xbox was rather weak. 'Hey xbox gamers, years old games that are not (so) popular anymore will get an Xbox version!!

- Happy Tango is going to expand, mentioned it a few weeks ago that instead of buying they should upgrade their studios/stop with contractors etc so yeah that is a good thing.

-Talking about Kemco, I bought 4 games from them this week (only spend 10€ thanks to the MS rewards tho).

The Anime industry in Japan had a hard time, small budgets (4 million$) to make a show with 24 episodes and studios were lucky to make a profit and many of the people who worked in those studios who always dreamed of working in the industry needed a second job because the payments were so low but then netflix came in and they were like 4 million is cheap....Lets just give them a bit more and now netflix has a ton of anime shows, sure some crap but also had some succes.

The reason why I bring it up is because MS could do the same, the gaming industry has a ton of small studios/Publishers who barely survive. Kemco tends to work with them and if for example if MS would acquire/invest in them it would be a win/win situation. You get a studio/Publisher who already has experience with releasing games on Xbox/PC/Mobile and would be excellent for the MS app store aswell. Sure a ton of games can be crap but some could also become hits and considering they release atleast 1 game every three months (+50 on Xbox now) you have some filler to fill gamepass but also has the potential to find some incredible talent.

I was here and other forums.

Basically a lot of 360 hate but then you got the X360Wii club...

Then PS3 did horrible after so much bragging that it will do great...

Then it became a ton of HD hate, Wii rules and even GTAIV could not save the HD systems.

Good to see not much has changed over the years

@Spade You think Goat will suddenly become a fan of JRPGs if Tango's next project is a JRPG?

Hey partner, only Discord dweebs play that genre.

Sit down bro, you don't even play any games. Btw, can you remind us if you beat halo infinite yet?

God imagine the vibe if ABK is blocked by CMA next week.

At least I won't owe Mike 2 games if that happens. *silver linings and all*

It's a good point that nobody never really considers all the titles skipping PlayStation in Xbox circles, Lol.

Oxenfree II skipping Xbox does suck but unless you own all platforms then they'll always be titles that you'll miss out on, that is the downside of playing on only one or two systems. Titles skip Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo.

Nobody Saves the World, Stalker 2, Valheim, Atomic Heart, High on Life, Benedict Fox, Ark II, Rouge Legacy II, Vampire Survivors, Tunic, The Wild at Heart, Death's Door, Party Animals, The Lamplighters League, Replaced, etc. All skipped/skipping PlayStation at least on launch.

Understandable we focus more on the titles that skip Xbox but I don't think we give enough acknowledgement to the titles that Xbox does get, and I know Xbox is paying for a lot of these ports via Game Pass but to most people, the reason why a platform is being skipped is irrelevant, as the end result is the same, it is being skipped at launch.

For all we know, Oxenfree II will come to Xbox a few months later, Lol. They clearly made a financial choice to focus on Mobile for now just like all these developers made the financial choice to take Xbox's Game Pass cheque and focus on Xbox first.

We should respectfully request that Oxenfree II is ported to Xbox but that was something else that blew up this week with some losing their minds even though Oxenfree II was announced for PlayStation, Switch and PC for a year already, Lol.

Hi all, I'm not an XBox gamer, but I am interested in what fans think of the current Microsoft mood. It seems to me the height of XBox fandom was during the middle years of the 360's lifespan. At that point almost everyone that I encountered in real life was playing on their 360 (even more so than people I would encounter that played the Wii). What was the point that the slide in popularity and positivity began to take hold? I certainly have a few theories of my own, but I'd like to hear where true XBox fans side on this issue. And if you don't think there has been a slide, by all means state that and why you don't think there has been one in terms of popular sentiment about the console.

By the way, as a Nintendo fan, I'm more than aware of what it feels like to have your company of choice take a few shots on the nose, and also that tides can change rather quickly in this business. Are you bullish about Microsoft's future in the console space over the next 10 years, particularly with the acquisition of Activision/Blizzard?

I've been gaming for over 40 years and own or have owned pretty much every console.  I've witnessed the ebb and flow of the market for each of the companies and have never really cared about the moods or where the current state of things are.  The last 5 or so years, is probably the closest I've come to gauging moods or trends, but I've been pretty much ignorant of such things.

If I'm not mistaken, Xbox hardware sales are off to a pretty good start and if they can ever resolve the Series X stock issues, sales should continue to do well for the generation.  Long term it looks like it will be an excellent generation for them as well as the next generation.

What I've found the most fascinating is how attached the fanbase can become to their chosen hunk of plastic.  While I consider myself more of a fanboy of video games in general I can see where someone that is locked to only being able to own one console, becoming discouraged if a return on that investment isn't being met physically or emotionally.

I'm not sure what a true Xbox fan is, but I'm a fan of the Xbox community on this site.

While I certainly agree with this statement, the fact is that consoles are certainly more than hunks of plastic, metal, wires, and chips.  They combine to form an ecosystem of potential and the potential it represents is what many cling to like their lives depend on it.  So I don't exactly disparage anyone for holding steady and true to one console.  These three manufacturers produce quite different vibes and that's why, as someone else said here, I would never want to see any of them bow out of the market.  But when the content we love starts seeing a decline in revenue and therefore investment, it can be a bit breathtaking.  I loved when the Metroidvania genre really started getting a lot of love, and we have Hollow Knight to thank for its popularity.  Likewise, some of our favorite titles are a result of our console of choice performing well enough to see major investment in its development.  Of course, this can also lead to glut and laziness (as we've seen with the sim genre) so sometimes a little adversity is good for both consoles and genres.  I know being up against the ropes has certainly helped Nintendo craft a better, more rounded strategy.

The big difference is typically the size of the games that skip Xbox that upsets Xbox fans the most.

Either way, the solution is to join the PC Master Race! Leave these console peasants behind!
