After watching the dev diary, maybe the game isn't as far along in development as I'm thinking lol

Pandemic seemed to have really set them back since they heavily relied on mocap and they seem to want to actually physically visit locations which they couldn't do until the restrictions were lifted, so I'm also unsure how far it is now as well.

I was going to post a joke about more Final Fantasy coming to Xbox. 😔

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Well that gameplay at least looks better than the recent FFXVI videos.

I was thinking, if Hellblade 2 really is further behind schedule than we assumed, Xbox's 2024 and 2025 are going to be even more packed than they were already looking to be. Xbox's schedule past 2023 is looking insane to me:

Possibly 2nd Half 2023 games which may be 2024

  • Hellblade 2
  • Contraband
  • Project Belfry (Stoic)

Possibly 2024 Games that may be pushed to 2025

  • Avowed
  • Fable
  • Everwild (we heard in 2021 that it had been rebooted after it's initial reveal and was targeting 2024, but could slip to 2025 imo)
  • Forza Horizon 6 (Horizon games moved from a 2 year to a 3 year cycle starting with Horizon 5, so Horizon 6 should be 2024 since 5 was 2021)
  • Project Mara (Ninja Theory)
  • Double Fine's next game (said to be smaller so I figure they can finish it in 3 years, but could be 2025)

Possibly 2025 Games that may be pushed to 2026

  • Perfect Dark
  • State of Decay 3
  • The Outer Worlds 2
  • Indiana Jones
  • Halo Tatanka (I originally thought this would be 2024, but now we are hearing it has been expanded into a full Halo Infinite successor, complete with traditional Halo modes and maps in addition to the Battle Royale mode, so I think this will now be 2025 or possibly 2026)
  • id's next game (Doom 3? Quake reboot?)
  • Arkane Lyon's next game (Deathloop 2?)
  • Project Cobalt (inXile)
  • Project Midnight (Compulsion)
  • Project Shaolin (Brass Lion Entertainment)

Possibly 2026 or Beyond Games

  • Elder Scrolls 6
  • Project Kestrel (Zenimax Online)
  • Project Suerte (Certain Affinity)
  • Gears of War 6
  • Kojima's Cloud game

Also while looking up some info for that list I made, I noticed that another project we formerly heard was Xbox 2nd party may not be, same as IOI's Project Dragon/Project Fantasy. MMO Pax Dei, which we formerly heard was an Xbox cloud partnership, now seems to be coming to Steam instead:

Jez and Grubb just keeping collecting L's.

This was confirmed not an Xbox project a few months after the original leak FWIW by either Jez or Grubb.

It was sort of like "we thought it was but it turned out it wasn't" rather than "Xbox has probably dropped publishing"
