I don't agree with a single thing you just wrote, so you're wrong.

Man, you don't even play CoD, STFU.

Tell em Noble.

Really wish Fapuza Ishin was based off of the kiwami engine in terms of map and QoL fixes. Not having any substories and having the Yakuza 5 map is kind of annoying.

Only on like Chapter 5.

Farmin sim is pretty fun and addicting. I'm the best farmer on VGC though.

I didnt realize Xbox Series was defaulted to instant on (sleep mode) and found out my xbox was warm to the touch when I didnt even use it.

Turned that shit off and put it on shutdown mode since I always fully shut down all my platforms lol

As for what I'm playing....I'm on Act 5 of Gears of War Ultimate.

Got owned a bit in the beginning (at the bridge area) lol and then the part where I was in the theater - I remember I went above the stage on the PC version but went the other way in the console version...Dom kept telling me to shoot down the walls so I was confused and shooting at the literal wall for a few minutes until I realized..... It really was a comedy of errors...

Could be a Microsoft requirement in which case they should probably drop said requirement in specific cases.

But if they can get it working on those minimum specs for PC, I see absolutely zero reason they can't get it working for Series S.

Maybe they haven't been developing on Xbox for that long, PC has been in early access for years.

Even Microsoft's first party studio can't get split screen coop running for a certain lego game, so not surprising that third party devs struggle as well.

That is very good considering it has only been out for a few days. To compare to some of Xbox's other day one Gamepass games, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party:

  • Ni No Kuni- 22k
  • Afterparty- 32k
  • Hello Neighbor 2- 44k
  • Planet Coaster- 45k
  • Worms Rumble- 46k
  • Persona 5- 54k
  • Wasteland 3- 61k
  • Scorn- 64k
  • MLB The Show 22- 66k
  • As Dusk Falls- 66k
  • Octopath Traveler- 67k
  • Dragon Quest 11- 77k
  • Bleeding Edge- 77k
  • Hotshot Racing- 79k
  • Neon Abyss- 79k
  • Call of the Sea- 84k
  • Undertale- 91k
  • Two Point Hospital- 91k
  • Twelve Minutes- 92k
  • Sniper Elite 5- 92k
  • Atomic Heart- 94k
  • MLB The Show 21- 95k
  • Aragami 2- 96k
  • art of rally- 97k
  • HiFi Rush- 99k
  • The Gunk- 100k
  • Age of Empires 2 DE- 101k
  • New Super Lucky's Tale- 102k
  • Second Extinction- 107k
  • Moving Out- 107k
  • A Plague Tale: Requiem- 110k
  • The Medium- 121k
  • My Friend Pedro- 122k
  • Gears Tactics- 125k
  • Hades- 127k
  • Blair Witch- 131k
  • Tetris Effect Connected- 137k
  • Battletoads- 140k
  • Streets of Rage 4- 149k
  • Psychonauts 2- 150k
  • MS Flight Sim- 152k
  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps- 155k
  • The Ascent- 161k
  • Grounded- 177k
  • TMNT Shredder's Revenge- 181k
  • Crackdown 3- 190k
  • Outriders- 233k
  • Golf With Your Friends- 247k
  • Back 4 Blood- 296k
  • The Outer Worlds- 309k
  • State of Decay 2- 379k

Based on the way it is tracking currently after just 3 days, I'd guess that Atomic Heart will eventually land somewhere between Crackdown 3 and Outriders most likely.

Octopath Traveler having more tracked users than Persona 5 is something I totally haven't expected. And that's with all the marketing effort that Microsoft has made for P5 release.

Octopath Traveler having more tracked users than Persona 5 is something I totally haven't expected. And that's with all the marketing effort that Microsoft has made for P5 release.

To be fair, Octopath's first achievement is earlier in the game than Persona 5, in Octopath you only need to scrutinize someone for the first time to get an achievement which you can do within minutes of playing, in Persona 5 I think I heard the first achievement is 2-3 hours into the game, so more people may have tried Persona 5 and then quit without ever unlocking an achievement and being registered as a player on True Achievements, compared to Octopath where people can try it, get an achievement within minutes, and then quit while still being registered as a player on TA.

Also Octopath has been on Gamepass for nearly 2 years and is probably leaving Gamepass next month, which will slow it's growth on TA considerably, Persona 5 has only been out for less than 5 months. So Persona 5 could eventually surpass it lifetime possibly, especially if it was a multi-year Gamepass deal and isn't removed after just 1 year.

It's also worth noting that Persona 5 has a much higher completion rate than Octopath, there are campaigns in Octopath that as few as 7% of TA users have completed, whereas Persona 5 has a 23% rate of people getting the achievement for seeing the ending, and 10% (5600+ TA users) have got the full 1000 GS, which takes over 100 hours, compared to just 346 TA users getting the full 1000 GS on Octopath.

It's also worth noting that Persona 5 has already surpassed most of the Yakuza games from Sega which have been on Gamepass much longer, only Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 7/Like A Dragon are still above Persona 5, and the way Persona 5 is tracking it may eventually pass Like a Dragon. 0 is likely out of reach for Persona 5 though, it has 119k players on TA so far, more than double what Persona 5 has gotten after 4+ months.

That seems a bit extreme to me. Sledgehammer is hit and miss, but hit and miss means they do hit the mark sometimes. My personal opinion on the games they worked on:

  • CoD MW3- Sledgehammer's first ever CoD, they co-developed the multiplayer with Raven Software while Infinity Ward handled the campaign. Personally, I thought that MW3 had the best multiplayer in the entire series to date, and Sledgehammer co-developed it. Meanwhile, the Infinity Ward developed MW3 campaign was not only the weakest of the 3 original MW campaigns, but a really poor sendoff for MW itself until MW was rebooted in 2019. After MW2 Vince Vampella and Jason West left to form Respawn and develop Titanfall, and without them Infinity Ward really struggled on the campaign of MW3 imo.
  • CoD Advanced Warfare- Sledgehammer's first CoD as the lead developer. Personally I rather enjoyed the campaign, but found the multiplayer to be lackluster, and as a result played hundreds of hours less of AW's MP than I played MW1-3, WaW, and Black Ops 1 multiplayer.
  • CoD WW2- Much like AW, I really enjoyed it's campaign. As for the multiplayer, I did enjoy it more than AW's multiplayer, but it's MP paled in comparison to the cream of the crop CoD WW2 MP experience, World at War.
  • CoD Vanguard- This one I still haven't played, am waiting for it to hit Gamepass at this point. However, I don't feel like anyone should judge Sledgehammer too harshly because of how this game turned out. Sledgehammer got less than the usual 3 years to build this game, they were originally supposed to be the lead dev on CoD 2020, with Raven assisting them, but there was some kind of fallout between Sledgehammer and Raven that couldn't be rectified, and Treyarch ended up stepping in and becoming the lead dev on CoD 2020 with Raven assisting them, and Sledgehammer was given just 2 years to design CoD 2021, CoD Vanguard. It's also worth noting that the studio was going through a period of upheaval during Vanguard's development, with studio founders Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey leaving Sledgehammer, Condrey to head up 2K's new AAA studio 31st Union (which has yet to announce their first game), Schofield to head up Krafton's Striking Distance Studios and direct The Callisto Protocol.

The main thing that worries me about this year's CoD is that much like CoD Vanguard, Sledgehammer was only given 2 years to develop it. When it was just a singleplayer expansion for CoD MW2, 2 years of dev time would have been perfectly fine, but now Activision has decided to turn it into a full priced CoD game with a full length campaign and an expansion for CoD MW2's multiplayer including all new maps, weapons, equipment, etc for CoD MW2. That is alot for Sledgehammer to develop in 2 years, even with likely assistance from Raven and some of the other Activision CoD support studios like Demonware, Beenox, High Moon, Toys For Bob, and Activision Shanghai.

Idk, in my personal opinion Advanced Warfare, WW2, and Vanguard were all trash. While I do agree with you that the story in AW was good, sadly I mostly play these games for the MP so the story is an afterthought for me, and AW MP was a complete joke.

Well, if it's mainly the multiplayer that you care about, my understanding is that the multiplayer for the Sledgehammer CoD later this year is basically just an expansion pack for CoD MW2's multiplayer last year. Everything I have read suggests that Sledgehammer is taking all of the maps, modes, weapons, equipment, perks, etc from MW2 (2022) and putting them in their game, and then adding to them with new maps and maybe a few new weapons (not sure about perks and equipment). If you like the MP on MW2 (2022), then there is a decent chance you will like the multiplayer on CoD 2023 since it is basically just an expansion pack for MW2 multiplayer, with Infinity Ward overseeing them to make sure they don't mess up things like balance too badly.
