Angry people who are treated like shit by their employer don't tend to think rationally, they just want to get back at the employer, in this case someone has seemingly leaked Microsoft's documents and Forza Horizon 6 is one part of that. How do you know it wasn't someone in the marketing department who leaked it? There's a lot of people who have genuine reason to be angry at MS right now.

What leak is allowed to get back at Microsoft after they've created an all time low morale at the division though? No matter what, some innocent person is getting screwed, whether it's a videogame leak, or a hardware leak, or a future business plan leak, they'll be collateral damage either way, and it's likely to happen more because Microsoft employees are upset at Microsoft so this is largely Microsoft's fault.

My point was less about whether it would be logical for disgruntled employees to engage in leaks, and more about the fact that ascribing leaks to anger seems entirely like a flavor of the moment narrative. We all know damn well that these leaks happen regardless, especially with companies as big as MS. We get leaks literally non-stop about one project or another, and they've never been predicated, or otherwise reliant upon anyone getting laid off for them to happen. MS could have laid off literally 0 people in the last several years, and we'd still be getting leaks like this.

We know that leaks happen either way, but it seems this leak in particular gives Tom reason to believe it's a disgruntled Xbox employee, maybe it's due to something else he has seen, maybe the employee has actually been in touch, we don't really know but I doubt Tom is saying it without genuinely believing it for whatever reason.

What I've seen is multiple insiders saying they saw these documents in the last week, it seems as though they all received it at the same time, that suggests to me it is someone wanting to cause a little damage at least, it doesn't seem like an employee wanting to share something with an insider friend but rather someone spreading a leak as far as possible to make damn certain it leaks, sending it to every leaker in the industry, Lol.

Very cool to see but also a shit release date for Gears because of it

This is why I don't think it was some quid pro quo arrangement, because Gears gets screwed, Lol. On Xbox it's a port of an highly popular, only a couple years old game vs a remaster of a remaster, a videogame which has released 3 times now on Xbox devices. On Steam and PlayStation it's new but the hype of Helldivers 2 releasing to Xbox players will naturally cause a bump to PC and PS users as well and take away attention from Gears.

Then to make matters worse, Halo comes to screw Gears over not even via an original release but a crossover which is going to get people on PlayStation and PC diving in to experience, Lmao. Hard not to assume that Gears will just be completely drowned out by the Helldivers 2 excitement + Halo crossover. I would have at least moved the Halo cross-over to a couple months later.

Ironically the leak is probably going to end up being a net-positive though and backfire on the angry employee, because of this leak, Xbox's TGS stream will likely be their most watched ever and that will solely be down to the fact that Forza Horizon 6 was leaked to be revealed at the event, usually Xbox's TGS is just port announcements and rarely a major announcement.

Forza Horizon 6 will be a huge announcement even with the leak, if it weren't leaked ahead of time then the vast majority of people would find out about Forza Horizon 6's announcement via a Twitter post, Lol. Even Xbox fans barely tune into the Xbox TGS Stream and the rest of the industry doesn't give a fuck. So this leak will actually end up being a benefit with now thousands of people tuning in solely to eagerly await Forza Horizon 6's announcement. So the leaker ended up just giving Microsoft's TGS team a bit of a win.

That would help increase interest, however, since it is in Japan it would most likely be in the middle of the night in the US. For example, the Xbox TGS 2023 showcase was at 18:00 JST / 2am PT / 5am ET. I guess they could go morning Japan time, which would be the night before in the US or much later in Japan so at least the east coast would be awake.

Damn, you're right, they'll probably still get a 200%+ increase in viewers from the American soldiers stationed overseas 💀

At least it's a decent time for UK and Europe so they'll still give a boost, Lol. In all seriousness, you'd think they would try to work out a time which works better for America but doesn't screw Japan since it is Forza Horizon.

Probably backs up my point even more though since very few Americans will bother watching the TGS stream live at those times but now some Forza Horizon hardcore fans might power through it just to see it live

Elder Scrolls VI needs to bring back the Mages Guild with Guilds per major city again instead of College of Winterhold, likewise with the Fighter's Guild. Of course they can call it whatever is specific to the region but I stand by Mages Guild and Fighters Guild are better in Oblivion than their equivalent in Skyrim. Likewise with the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood but my issue with those two now is more that I hope The Elder Scrolls VI adds an actual questline to do these questlines as a morally good character, and to unlock their respective achievements, Lol.

Thieves Guild Questline as per normal but also another just as long questline to work with *insert official* to legally take down the Thieves Guild. Likewise a proper questline tracking down the murders of the Dark Brotherhood and taking them down, like detective thing. Also bring back The Arena, it was the perfect beginning side objective to Oblivion, a nice and easy introduction to combat with decent money but flesh it out some more.

Eh most people playing Gears Reloaded on Xbox got it free anyway. I did. Since HDII is already out on PS5. Be a influx of new players to Gears on PS5. Xbox just most be existing fans with a free game and a paid game.

I honestly think the Halo update for Helldivers 2 + It launching on Xbox is going to have a bigger impact on PS/Steam than Gears Reloaded launch, I think it will get completely drowned out, luckily Xbox players got it for free but MP may suffer as a result, I suppose it doesn't matter much though, it's just a remaster of a remaster so I doubt they're expecting big numbers but it is the first time Gears has launched on PS but it feels like it is complete silence now, Lol. Helldivers 2 right now has 100k+ CCU on Steam alone...On a Tuesday...At 2pm UK time, Lol. I think it was a bad date for Gears Reloaded launch but oh well, I doubt they were expecting big numbers.
