My point was less about whether it would be logical for disgruntled employees to engage in leaks, and more about the fact that ascribing leaks to anger seems entirely like a flavor of the moment narrative. We all know damn well that these leaks happen regardless, especially with companies as big as MS. We get leaks literally non-stop about one project or another, and they've never been predicated, or otherwise reliant upon anyone getting laid off for them to happen. MS could have laid off literally 0 people in the last several years, and we'd still be getting leaks like this. |
We know that leaks happen either way, but it seems this leak in particular gives Tom reason to believe it's a disgruntled Xbox employee, maybe it's due to something else he has seen, maybe the employee has actually been in touch, we don't really know but I doubt Tom is saying it without genuinely believing it for whatever reason.
What I've seen is multiple insiders saying they saw these documents in the last week, it seems as though they all received it at the same time, that suggests to me it is someone wanting to cause a little damage at least, it doesn't seem like an employee wanting to share something with an insider friend but rather someone spreading a leak as far as possible to make damn certain it leaks, sending it to every leaker in the industry, Lol.
