I'm 90% of the time the one arguing with others about being negative all the time too, Lmao. It's not like I've a habit of being overly critical, but the one time I am, I have people saying I can't be critical, I can't be mad at Microsoft, I can't be upset about things being cancelled, it feels like a low-key "get over it" after a less than a few weeks and people just wanting to move away from having to hear criticism directed towards Microsoft, I'm sorry but I'm going to be critical for a while, blame Microsoft for being screw ups. I'll still post about games I'm enjoying, Lol.

I will continue to talk shit about AI and I will continue to talk shit about layoffs and greedy corporations and if you want regulation then you ought to be talking shit about AI alongside me and spreading it far and wide, don't just accept it as an inevitably, call out these companies for using AI to replace workers or creating soulless slop and treating employees like shit, Lol.

It is mainly negativity right now though because I've not played anything this month, between the repeated heatwaves and Microsoft's shitty actions I've been in no mood to turn my Xbox on, I've instead just been passing the time with TV Shows, Lol. But there's a small part of me that's going to be triggered by my True Achievements showing activity in every month January - June but an empty July so I might get in a quick game or two just to keep the streak going, Lol. But may end up with nothing played in July.

It's a shame because I was on such a roll for 2025, I was on track to beat my previous record and super excited about the year and on track to play a lot of games for 2025 but then the layoffs happened and boom my entire mood for gaming has vanished, Lol. Hopefully I can get back into gaming, or rather, gaming on an Xbox console, because it's only Xbox I feel this for, I'm excited to get a Switch 2. Probably in August. Maybe Nintendo can pull me from the brink! Lmao.

I didn't say any of that actually

I said you're yelling at a cloud for moving with the wind. In a room of 10 people that can't change it any more than you can. I don't like people losing their jobs their jobs either. I think AI is gonna lead us to confronting some pretty serious issues that we as a society have shown to be VERY bad at dealing with at the best of times, and utterly inept at the worst of them. You're just fixated on a microcosm, while underselling the actual problem because you're determined to just say "fuck this."

Your particular brand of bitching about this is going to accomplish exactly nothing, and if someone goes away from here and parrots your nonsense all they're taking away from that, at best, is "oh wow, guess MS is really dumb for betting this hard on AI. Guess that's gonna really bite them in the ass, cus it sure sounds shit. Can't ever replace good hard working folk, no sir..."

Cool. Definitely getting the right point across there. But it's ok, right? Cus AI is overhyped. Not a big deal overall, really. Just MS are kinda being dickheads about it atm. They'll get over it after it loses them a bunch of money in the long run and we keep talking about what asses they are for going down this road.

Telling me to come to terms with it and telling me it's going to be the norm in response to my complaining very much comes across as you trying to tell me to stop complaining about it, Lol. Not once have I said that AI won't replace a lot of jobs or at least try to replace a lot of jobs, I very much already have come to terms with the fact that companies will try to replace workers with AI, I don't need you telling me that.

I'm not yelling at the cloud, I'm criticising companies, we can criticise companies can't we? Or can we no longer post any criticisms here because none of us can change things? I'm determined to say fuck companies for treating their employees like shit and trying to replace them all with AI. Not whatever you're trying to imply of me.

And yes, I still believe and can believe both things just fine, that Microsoft is dumb for betting this hard on AI and it will bite them in the ass and that AI is overhyped in a lot of areas (such as AGI) and incapable of truly replacing a lot of people but it doesn't mean I'm saying companies won't try to do it and won't still do it. Yes they may replace a lot of workers with AI, and guess what, it will result in overall worst products across the board and nobody will win, not the companies, not the workers, not the consumers.

So yes, as I've been talking about for years now, AI needs massive regulation.

My criticism of AI gets more pushback than actual AI here because apparently I'm "criticising wrong" or something. It's all well and good shoving a little criticism of AI in responses but those responses are often in debate against someone critical of AI. The thing that would push people back from criticising AI in here is if every time they do they get jumped on with pointless debate about them criticising wrongly.

Instead of criticising companies for treating employees like shit and using AI slop, we are know focused on debating each other on some stupid debate about the correct formula for criticising a company, no longer focused on the actual issue at hand and calling out these companies, instead we're now focused on each other and criticism moves away from Microsoft and others. *Slow Clap*

Also my comments on the King situation is literally comments that I've seen from multiple developers who work with AI, I don't think I said anything wrong when it comes straight from people who actually work with AI, Lol. It can't yet replace them and Microsoft will need to rehire a lot of people and then lay them off again then rehire them. Microsoft knows this, they, a tech company, still have more employees than ever despite their best efforts to reduce their headcount. AI will maybe be capable of mass replacement in the future but it isn't there *now*

Do you read what you post before you hit send, or...nah?

You believe that companies betting on AI are dumb. It will bite them in the ass. It will lead to worse products, lost customers/business, etc. Also however, the market will not react to this. They won't try to sweep their failures under the rug and pivot back to whatever maximizes profits, and capitalism won't correct for this on it's own with other companies stepping in to fill an apparently very dissatisfied customer base/work force.

So, massive regulation is needed not because capitalism is doing what we fear it does entirely too well when left unchecked...not because there's powerful new tools/tech in the market that logically threatens jobs due to pure efficiency...but because MS and their ilk actually love setting money on fire for an idea. A fantasy. One that the market doesn't bear out. And shareholders are like yep...keep going. And nobody else uses that opportunity to create new investment in good old human labor which is apparently still far more commercially viable?

Fascinating
