It's kind of funny how 2026 is all lining up in vibes too, like even beyond the simple case of "Xbox classics receiving new entries" with Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable. We also have the fact that Gears E-Day is a Prequel and return to the OG Cast, set before all the other mainline Gears and a return to "Classic Gears" with a focus on horror again. Halo is rumoured to be a remake of Halo CE, which again, is a return to "Classic Halo" and the very first Halo. Fable might not feel like classic Fable all that much but is a reboot so like Halo/Gears is set the very beginning, Lol. They're going hard on the nostalgia feeling.

Can't really do anything for Forza Horizon though, Lol.

Inside: ROG Xbox Ally - Behind The Scenes Feature

KEN LOBB SPOTTED.

This actually looks pretty cool, I might get it now that Xbox paused their own handheld, I also read Tom Warren say that you can boot directly into the Xbox UI without loading lots of parts of useless Windows junk and to that I say FANTASTIC, Lmao. We're one step closer to a full fledged Xbox OS available on any device.

Will say I'm not a big fan of how MS is still cramming way too many things into such a tight end of year window. How many games did they say were releasing in October? I feel like it was 3-4 just in that month, with CoD presumably also just around the corner from there. Surely we could be spacing things out more than that

NateDrake was also suspiciously accurate with his "predictions" He said no Gears E-Day, Everwild, Fable, State of Decay 3 or Perfect Dark. He basically said it would be a focus on 2025 releases. Man continues to be GOAT leaker.

Extas has entered fraud status, I chuckled at Sarah saying Silksong will be out before the Xbox Ally, I just thought of Extas, Lmao. That thing STILL doesn't have a release date other than a vague "We promise it will be out before Xbox Ally"

#DOUBT.

Should punt CoD to December considering how hot development sounds and lets be honest it won't matter one fucking bit where CoD releases, Lol.

  • Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 = July 11th
  • Gears Reloaded = August 26th
  • Keeper = October 17th
  • Ninja Gaiden IV = October 21st
  • The Outer Worlds 2 = October 29th

I'd move CoD to December and The Outer Worlds 2 into November.

Update - 10:39 am: A reader asked me if the new device’s console-like Xbox interface would be coming to other Windows handhelds. A Microsoft rep tells me it will. Their statement: “The Xbox full screen experience will come first to Ally and Ally X and we will update the in market ROG Ally and Ally X. Similar full screen Xbox experiences will be rolling out to other Windows handhelds beginning next year.”

Surprised there was no starfield dlc 2 news

We got a Direct this year after the showcase which showcased two games (The Outer Worlds 2 and Grounded 2) from one developer (Obsidian) for the first time ever...I'm just saying...Playground Games is one developer...Releasing two titles in 2026...if Fable is Holiday 26 then could we have a Direct after the showcase which is a double feature of Forza Horizon 6 and Fable?!

Holy shit that would be amazing.

Obsidian takes the crown with 3 titles in 2025. Playground is going to take it off them in 2026. That is healthy competition

Phil straight up confirming a Forza is releasing next year, despite it not being announced yet, but being coy with Halo by simply labelling it as a "returning classic" even though he could have said "Halo" like he said "Forza"

Plot twist, he isn't talking about Halo.
