It's a remaster of Rainbow Six Siege? Well then that is a decent Game Pass get.

I see, it's basically a free update/remaster, so Rainbow Six Siege is coming to Game Pass.

I thought it was some random spinoff I never heard of, Lol.

When did the original come out? I feel like Ubisoft puts out 14 million of these games out every year. What makes it different than the rest?

The original Siege released in late 2015.  So, you can see what inspired the 'X' title.  Almost every year since then has seen 3/4 seasons, or "Operations" as they're called here, which add a new character, new design tweaks, and sometimes new maps.  

Siege X is similar to Hunt: Showdown 1896 or the like: a new shell around an existing skeleton that also makes 'vanilla Siege' nonexistent.  Siege X does also make certain skeletal tweaks as well.  For instance, their audio rework is a different beast than the original (allegedly).

Do I have to install the Special Edition of Skyrim and then buy the Anniversary Edition Upgrade?

If you have the Special Edition already then yes you need to get the Anniversary Edition upgrade if you dont have it yet
