Yep, subs are continuing the year-on-year growth trend started with CoD hitting Game Pass in Q4. Guessing it may stay in this same growth range YoY until we hit the anniversary.

Marvel Rivals is def one of them, but needs a few more months for me to expand my big 5 titles to 6.

Just to be clear since it doesn't embed the other post, he is responding to two separate questions, Marvel Rivals comment has nothing to do with the top comment. Anyway, Game Pass has seemingly continued to have growth ever since CoD entered on every month since.

Edit - Oops, I posted this twice by accident, Lol.

U.S. Video Game Market March Spending Trend - March 2025 content spending fell 4% vs YA, to $4.2B. The only growth segments were non-mobile subscription (+11%) and console digital premium downloads (+12%). Mobile content finished 6% behind Mar 2024 (mobile source: Sensor Tower).

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

I was looking to buy some games from the sale but next week should be golden week hmmm

Worth noting that Bethesda said the Oblivion remaster was made in 4 years. So it would've been immediately after the MS acquisition. Todd Howard has several times over the years, including pre-MS acquisition as far back as 2018, stated that he didn't want to remaster specifically Morrowind, but he followed up by saying any of their games in general.

So it seems like as soon the purchase went through, Phil went straight to Bethesda and told them to get working on remasters lol.

I am surprised it wasn't a Skyrim remaster that came out first. Just because of the amount of times it has been rereleased and it being the best-selling Bethesda game by a decent amount.

What Bethesda game do you all want to see remastered next?

It does help that Skyrim has already had a remaster lol.

As far as BGS games, I want Fallout 3 next, followed by Morrowind!

Morrowind remaster would be dope.

Fallout 3 Remaster should be next, it was on the Zenimax release roadmap document released during the ABK acquisition trial for 2 years after Oblivion Remaster:

Bethesda thought they would have the Oblivion remaster out in 1 year?

Looks like FY22 goals were nearly completed aligned with these past 7 months.

I'm guessing Doom Eternal had some additional DLC planned but was cancelled? Because Doom "Year Zero" definitely made it out quicker than the other games lol.

Kestrel is supposed to be ZOS's new IP, but what was Platinum?

Yeah, they were definitely padding out there release schedule a bit to entice Microsoft during the acquisition talks, they knew darn well they wouldn't be able to release that many games per year back when they made this roadmap in 2020, even though this roadmap was made pre-Covid (which caused many delays).

Yes, Doom Eternal had a DLC in development that was cancelled. We have no idea what Project Platinum is to this day, was either cancelled or still hasn't been announced. Kestrel is the Zenimax Online new IP they started working on way back in 2018 when they began the slow staff-up of their 2nd studio, hopefully it is progressing nicely and will be announced on this year's summer showcase. The licensed IP game they have on fiscal year 2024 on this roadmap is presumably Marvel's Blade by Arkane Lyon, which means Dishonored 3 from this roadmap definitely isn't releasing anytime soon, if ever, wild they had both on fiscal year 2024, that was never going to happen. And of course Ghostwire Tokyo 2 is dead with Microsoft having closed Tango.

But yeah, in theory the Fallout 3 remaster should still be happening, it was clearly planned and Microsoft surely knows they need to release some Fallout game to tide fans over on the very long wait for Fallout 5, which probably won't release before 2033 or 2034. Especially in the wake of the massive success of the Fallout show, they must have made the Fallout 3 remaster a development priority, they're missing out on huge co-marketing sales with the show right now.
