Firstly, I should have played House Flipper 2 when it hit Game Pass, they introduced an update in March which bugged a single achievement making 100% impossible to achieve, Lol. But I needed something short to play before AC Shadows and it was a very chill game to play before a huge game like AC Shadows, I sort of quit getting anymore achievements as long as that one was glitched, Lol.

Secondly, a strong start for AC Shadows, its first day player numbers are in line with Valhalla and likely even exceeding, AC Valhalla was their best performing AC ever but I do not expect Shadows to beat that, Valhalla had too much stuff going for it that AC Shadows can't replicate, it was cross-gen, it was one of the first AAA RPGs on next gen consoles/first AC on next gen consoles, it released during COVID lockdown, etc.

I'm digging it so far, happy for the team, Yves is still a twat that needs to fuck off.

Finished the first region in Avowed after 10 hours. Did all the side quests (except the one that you can't until later) and bounties too.

THIS would actually be pretty huge! I would 100% buy the next Xbox if it had this ability. In fact, take it a step further and have all the corresponding storefronts to connect to your Xbox account so you can earn GS from all of them too ;) if I could connect my Steam, Battle.net, and GOG account, my GS would probably be pushing upwards of 1 million

If steam is available I would curious about the online paywall and....well steam has great deals, do you want to spend +10/25$€ to get the play anywhere version or the steam version one..

Xbox has deals too... Maybe not as much but I do not think you would end up paying more for the same games (available on both) at the end of one year...

And then, there is the bombshell, you can get MOST (if not all) play anywhere title on GamePass and they work on Xbox too (and the Xcloud)...

So in term of price/value; I do not see how this is even a question :)

1) If you want to play on more than one platform, nothing beats Play Anywhere

2) If you want to play on PC and the game is on GamePass..

3) Then, yah, if the game is not on GamePass, Steam may be the best option for some games.

I mean, I said that because you especially mentioned Play Anywhere titles; which to me is a no brainer...

Shadows is beautiful, I can't wait to see the winter season in my village, but pretty graphics aside, damn these weather effects are seriously impressive.

Well the xbox deals aren't that great, just go forums like Trueachievements and check the bargain bin thread but it happens rather a lot that deals are better on pc or other consoles , I mentioned it a few weeks ago how Crash 4 on switch was like 15$€ on sale while on xbox 20$e and that's an first party IP. Or how FFXIII on PC will go on sale while the xbox square enix deal has no FFXIII on sale (go to xbox.com and it is 7.49 for the MS store version while 15.99 for the xbox, steam version is 5.49 version).   

Play anywhere is obviously great but if the xbox handheld has steam, maybe the series get steam, the next console also gets steam then the steam version also becomes an play anywhere version..   

@ice I like your purchases :)  I just get everything digital tho but annoyed how many bc games are not going on sale, I want SE infinite undiscovery aswell but it never goes on sale...
