On the one hand, the Xbox/Game Pass fan in me says it's no issue at all that Fable has been delayed, Xbox's 2025 is already incredibly stacked, it's the difference between 9 releases instead of 10, Lol. Plus Fable was always 50/50 so I was mentally preparing for it anyway and I think a lot of people thought it would slip, even the insiders dating it said it was either November or December.

But the Fable fan in me is screaming and crying, Lmao. Oh well, it isn't like I will have a shortage of games to play, I already can't keep up. I'm actually more convinced now as well that GTA 6 will make 2025 because I think if GTA 6 slipped then Microsoft would rather crunch the shit out of Playground to get Fable out before GTA, Lol. But it needs more time so I'd rather they take their time and not rush.

The footage they shown was absolutely stunning, it looks too good to be true, I will say I am still cautiously optimistic about the combat, I'm not talking about the animations, they need more work but it's a year from release now and this footage is already outdated by at least months so I'm not concerned about that, but I just hope the combat is fun, I didn't find The Witcher 3's combat to be all that fun, Lol. But Fable never had good combat so I'll keep an open mind that they can change it into something good.

Anyway, it is great that Xbox is in a position now where they can delay a major release which is highly anticipated and the collective response it basically "Okay, I have enough to play anyway" and no longer dooming about Xbox's line-up or business, Lmao. They've finally released the point where they simply have too much releasing. Though if I'm being honest even if Microsoft had 40 titles releasing in 2025 I'd still be sad about Fable being delayed, I am so desperate to play it, Lol.

Also...Now we go back to a very high chance of Fable and Forza Horizon releasing in the same year.

It just seems like an L to delay Fable while they only had to announce a release date like 3-6 months before they are sure it will release..

Anyway I hope the create character options/jobs/Etc are great in the game.

Is 2026 for FH6 the general expectation? With 5 getting its final new festival playlist recently I thought 2025 was a pretty sure thing.

Good to see the next Konami/Bloober project (likely Silent Hill) is multiplatform (on Xbox), as it keeps being said, exclusivity makes little sense nowadays for 3rd party publishers even with Xbox themselves going fully multiplatform, Lol. Either Sony can't be arsed to money-hat this one or Konami doesn't want it exclusive.

I still have doubts Gears E-Day is 2025 but there's multiple insiders hinting at it now, if there's anyone that could do it, then it's probably The Coalition, it's just that we haven't seen any gameplay for it, but maybe they could have a blowout for a Gears of War specific Developer Direct at the June showcase? Would make even more sense if it's day one multiplatform to have a huge focus on it.

Tony Hawk 3+4 being rated, a release soon?

Fuck David Zaslav. What a waste of a great developer, Monolith being closed stings; Condemned, FEAR, Shadow of Mordor, I was looking forward to Wonder Woman too. To patent the brilliant Nemesis System and only ever use it for two games as well and block anyone else from being able to use it, man fuck Warner Bros, a shitty ass company, this is why gameplay mechanics shouldn't be patented.

Seems to be, Forza Horizon 5 is receiving a update alongside the PS5 release as well, Horizon Realms, which is a curated collection of some of the community’s favourite previously released Evolving Worlds, alongside some other surprises. Plus with the PS5 release they have definitely had to extend the license for music longer than usual, I can't see Forza Horizon 6 releasing this year when 5 will get a big boost from PlayStation and is still selling great even on Xbox/PC, Lol.

Deleted Avowed, doing so gave me some Kingdom of Amalur vibes, enjoyed that game but after a dozen hours just had no more fun..

Bought Hideen Paws and Like A dragon infinite wealth

At work our offices have lil banners with our name on them. We get hex shaped flair pins to put on: one for every 5 years we’re at the studio and one for each of the games we’ve finished. Just got the Avowed pins in today. 📌

Justin Britch is currently the only Obsidianite with a full banner.

Woedica is a miserable hag.

Are any of the Gods in Eora not bellends? They're more Daedric Princes, I was eavesdropping on their conversations and they all seem like assholes, I thought Eothas might have been a decent lad but I didn't realise he straight up massacred thousands of people in Pillars of Eternity 2 and there's a great side quest where you make one of his priests come to terms with that and I was basically like "Yeah, your God is a dick" only Abydon seems half decent, no real issue with that though, it's always like that, people worship Talos in Elder Scrolls and he's an asshole too, Lmao.

FUCK THE GODS.

Ayway, at 67 hours I finished Avowed, I will write up full impressions soon, but I loved it.

Wow, Rebellion is really going for that Fallout-vibe with this overview!

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Light Ending Spoilers for Avowed.

Spoiler!

I could very easily imagine a sequel to Avowed set in Aedyr even following the same main character of Avowed, I'd like that and I can already picture the scenarios which calls the Envoy back to Aedyr. Not really sure what the main story would focus on, but there's a logical setup for recalling the Envoy back to Aedyr, perhaps it could be focused on the fall of the Aedyr Empire.

To my knowledge, the main character in Pillars is the same across both.
