Thats awesome to hear.

Hopefully development is going well.

Speaking of Gears series, I'm planning to play Gears 3 next lol.

Yeah it's not surprising at all. People Can Fly has just as much of a history with the Gears franchise as Epic and Coalition. I was wondering what was going to happen to the studio since it seemed a lot of their projects were getting cancelled. Now they got a lot of work to do!

They also are working on Project Maverick with Xbox which was the return of a Xbox legacy IP, but who knows when we'll see what that is.

Hmm. What about Splash Damage? They were co-developers of Gears of War 4 + 5.

I wouldn't be surprised if they get added as well. Their projects are getting cancelled too except only 1.

Aren't they also working on something else for Xbox?  I recall a ~$50mil deal with them being announced a while back, but I'm not sure if that means the contract was for E-Day all along.

Yeah, Project Maverick. It's something different though. It was in pre-production early last summer, and PCF became fully staffed for that project at the time. Job descriptions having terms like, "Knowledge and passion for RPG games"

IIRC, there was a rumor it was a legacy Xbox IP, but I may be thinking of another rumored Xbox project. Either way, now that a couple of other projects at PCF have been cancelled recently, their schedule just opened up some more.

Ohhh I see.  I didn't know (or forgot) other projects went belly up.  So, is PCF only focused on E-Day co-development & Project Maverick atm?

They have a couple other projects, one with Square Enix, but last year they said that project was massively scaled back that led to several dozen layoffs. But the biggest cancellation was late last year that lost over 100 employees.

It honestly seems like PCF tries to take on too many projects that's led them to multiple restructurings.
