WoW may make the jump eventually. So far Blizzard has only released new major games on Steam with Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4.

I honestly don't think the Warcraft RTS games will make the jump. At least I'd be surprised if they did, especially before WoW does, just because they're not major money makers and pretty niche overall, so the fanbase that would play them are already on battle.net

Battle.net as a store/launcher has already been around for 10 years though lol. You've never gotten around to getting a game at any point?

Only free ones

The 20th anniversary edition will lead back into Burning Crusade Classic?

Wait, am I crazy or are there now 3 different WoW servers? WoW, WoW Classic, and WoW classic 20th Anniversary? That seems like a crazy way to spread your playerbase thin, will pull even more people from the main WoW with 2 different WoW classic options.

I would love to get into WoW again, but the cost is just too prohibitive. They badly need to copy FF14 and allow F2P access (or PC Gamepass access) to base game content and the first few expansions on main WoW at least, while leaving WoW Classic and WoW Classic 20th Anniversary fully P2P for profit reasons.

Don’t forget the Season of Discovery seasonal servers, hardcore servers, and WoW Classic Vanilla. Blizzard rotates the expansions, but Vanilla WoW is always available.

It’s like, an absolutely ABSURD amount of WoW content available. There should be a F2P aspect to the game. Once a player sees just how much is available, they’ll absolutely subscribe.
