For how much Sony claims MS buying ActiBlizz would hurt competition, they’ve done a great job at proving the opposite.

Cautiously optimistic. There’s some amazing Game Pass releases to start off the year, as well Age of Empires 2 console port, but there’s just so many questions as to when the current big 3 of known first party releases, will actually release. Supposedly Forza Motorsport and Redfall are getting delayed, and Starfield we speculate will end up being holiday 2023 lol.
One thing is for sure though, Xbox’s 2023 will live and die on how Starfield turns out.

Fairly optimistic.
Hardware wise Phil claimed that stock will significantly improve by halfway through 2023, and Xbox has some big exclusives planned for 2023, especially Starfield, plus we will probably see the first Series X bundle for the Holiday season in addition to a better Holiday bundle for S and a repeat of the $250 S deal for the Holiday, so I think they should be able to have the biggest or 2nd biggest year for Xbox hardware yet across all 4 of their consoles.
Should be a big growth year for Gamepass as well, with Starfield alone driving millions of new subs.
Meanwhile I think the 1st/2nd party games most likely to release in 2023 are:
AoE2 Xbox port (100% chance)
AoE4 Xbox port (100%)
Ghostwire Tokyo Xbox port (100%)
Minecraft Legends (100%)
Redfall (100%)
Starfield (100%)
Forza Motorsport (100%)
Project Belfry (80%)
Hellblade 2 (70%)
Contraband (50%)
Project Mara (40%)
Tango small project (40%)
Avowed (30%)
Last edited by shikamaru317 - on 24 December 2022Here’s something I’m looking forward to reading a lot of next year, “Redfall and Starfield don’t count as real exclusives since all MS did was open up their checkbook to buy Bethesda”
It’s something I’ve already heard and read quite a few times, but when the games actually release, I expect for those kinds of comments to grow exponentially.

In response to a question about Xbox Game Pass, Jim Ryan reportedly said that “When we consider Game Pass, it seems to be getting lower [Game Pass numbers]. When we consider Game Pass, we’ve sold more PS5’s in two years than they have gathered subscribers and they’ve been doing that for 6-7 years.” Ryan reportedly continued “We’re just shy of 50 million subscribers and they are in the low 20s, but there’s more work to do to grow that number”. Ryan’s reported comments are somewhat surprising when the company is currently battling Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which Sony argues is “bad for competition, bad for the gaming industry, and bad for gamers themselves”, (via Reuters). Sony Doesn't View Xbox Game Pass as Competition, Sources Claim - Insider Gaming The title is pure clickbait since he doesn't say that. But it's funny, I think it was FTC who said that PS Plus isn't competition to Game Pass but here is Sony directly comparing them both, so clearly, Sony disagrees with the FTC. Also it was Sony who said to the CMA that PS Plus has less subscribers than Game Pass, Lol. Sony also said to the CMA that Game Pass has 29m subscribers, now they're saying low 20s. Here is the exact quote that Sony gave to the CMA. "Game Pass leads PlayStation Plus significantly. Microsoft already has a substantial lead in multi-game subscription services. Game Pass has 29 million subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and is expected to grow substantially in the future. The multi-game subscription tiers of PlayStation Plus considerably lag, with fewer than [redacted] the number of subscribers |
Even more of a reason to hope the deal goes through, Jim Ryan needs to be humbled
Please for the love of God be true... I'd love to not play SMT 5 on Switch. Would replay 3 and 4 as well.
(Rumor) Shpeshal Nick has heard that Shin Megami Tensei 3, 4 & 5 could be coming to Xbox

It would be a similar deal with Altus, as the one they did with Persona.
He also mentions that Altus aren't know for their speed development.

I'm denting hard right now.. what does NIS America put out again? Not Legend of Heroes right?
He also reaffirmed MS may still be trying to work with NIS America closer to the end of the show, when someone brought up what MS should do about no Square Enix games.
