Seeing how Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection is turning out, some even saying a worse launch than MCC, makes it seem like Aspyr was nuked after losing the KOTOR Remake. Should've been the easiest W in their history.

Damn, I hear that the Star Wars Battlefront Collection remaster Aspyr did is an unmitigated disaster, based on the tweet I found it is one of the lowest user reviewed games on Steam with only 20% positive reviews. Some of the things being reported:

-Huge install size of over 60 GB for a collection of two gen 6 games because the AI upscaled textures are uncompressed
-Achievements not working
-Tiny multiplayer server capacity and lots of connection issues
-People prefer the original UI to the upgraded one
-Heroes vs Villains is broken with people unable to respawn on the Hero team
-One of the Republic vs CIS maps has issues with CIS respawns
-Gungan character model issues that crash the game
-Hoth map has missing textures
-Matches end too quickly as ticket consumption is increased compared to the original games
-No inverted control option
-Some cutscenes missing in Story mode
-Audio glitches
-No forced team balance in Battlefront 1
-No options to party up with friends

Not sure how many of those issues from PC are in the console versions, but I'm guessing most of them.

Seems like the layoffs over at Embracer have destroyed Aspyr, their previous Star Wars remasters were mostly fine. Hopefully Saber took Aspyr with them and can manage to fix the game in the coming months.

Lol yeah, apparently the game only had 3 64 player servers available.....so only 200 players total could play the game!

They also thought it was a good idea to limit the total number of deaths to 100 in a 64 player match lol. Games were ending in less than 5 minutes. On top of everything just not working in general.

So is Embracer keeping Aspyr or did Saber option to keep them as well like they did with 4A and Zen? I can't see Embracer staffing Aspyr back up and fixing Battlefront Collection, but Saber just might staff them back up and fix the game in the coming months.

I wonder if Saber is keeping the KOTOR Remake as well, insiders recently suggested it is still in development there in-spite of Sony scrubbing all references to it from their site and YouTube channel, so maybe planned as a multiplat now? If Embracer kept it I'm sure it is dead, I can't see Embracer paying Disney those huge licensing fees when they don't even have a studio well suited to making it now.

Hmm, I did not have any issues in the beginning of this game on the standard difficulty.  Then again, I like trying to maximize my combos, so the fights were fun for myself.  If anything, everything was pretty easy.  Later in the game it really gets tough even with a full team because some bosses can pretty much one shot your whole party with their big attack.  You really have to work at hitting them with the right person burst in order to stop it or switch characters to maximize each member abilities.

My problem with the game is all the preaching dialogs.  Anyway, I am pretty far in the game and so far still having fun but Japanese RPGs are really not to my taste.

I'm not saying it's hard. I simply decreased the difficulty so that either enemies have less HP or I do more attack damage so the battles can be won quicker. It's still very tedious though.

In the beginning it's almost impossible to get boost strikes, especially when you're only playing as a team of two. Once you have a full team, standard battles become a lot quicker.

How far are you? I just fought the female Renan lord.

I am at the point where you are going to Rena and get the fuller picture of what is happening.  Maybe my inexperience with Japanese RPGs is the reason I do not feel the same on the enemies but I will say with enough unlocks for my team, a lot of battles go real quick and I can get to burst including their own special state lot quicker in combat.

This is actually beautiful, if they removed the FFXIV name and released it as a standalone console I would probably buy it, that blue is gorgeous.
