I think we need both wraps and affordable limited edition consoles. $700 is absolutely overpriced for what you get here, I still remember last gen when most LE Xbox consoles were only $50 more than the standard console. If they are going to charge more than $50 more, it should be $100 more, not $200 more, and they should sell like a $40 wrap of any LE console they do, plus other wraps.

Speaking of price, they definitely should release the handheld console and the traditional console separately (if they do plan on two hardware devices) like a year apart, I think unlike Series X/S there will be a lot of overlap between a traditional hardware and handheld device users, I personally would probably want both but I imagine that would cost me £800+, Lol. Sure there's overlap with Series X/Series S as well but if you only game on one TV then you don't really need both of those.

I’m pretty sure Series 1 sales have already flatlined.

Funnily they were actually up YoY for January NPD (double-digit %) which is funny because Microsoft's Q1 projections for Xbox hardware are dire, we're talking Wii U levels of bad, so Xbox either needs to be doing horrific elsewhere or suffer an utter collapse in February/March if Microsoft's projections are accurate.

I'm 99% sure that sales were only up in January because of Palworld. There was a notable increase for Xbox hardware on Amazon US rankings for instance when Palworld dropped and became an overnight success. I don't think Xbox expected Palworld to be successful honestly, I think they thought it would just be Craftopia 2.0. Instead it became perhaps the biggest system seller exclusive for Xbox Series to date. I doubt the increase over 2023 will last all the way through the end of March though, Xbox Series hardware already fell entirely out of Amazon top 100 as we move into March. Maybe the January and early February boost from Palworld will be enough to at least offset these poor March sales and have Xbox hardware even compared to Q1 2023, instead of down YoY like Xbox expected.

Tina has to be one of the best recent hires in Xbox, Lol.

She's just working round the clock.

So I’ll throw the other side of the coin down in this debate. If they released a Series 2 Portable along side a Series X2 I wager you’ll see the biggest exodus of third party support Xbox has ever seen. Series 1S already proven its held back Series 1X this gen, and if there’s an even stronger Series X2 along side a significantly weaker Series 2 Portable with a clause stating they gotta release games on both then …. Devs are gonna be like fuck that. Series 1 is the lowest selling Xbox to date, ain’t no way devs are gonna put up with that Series 2P/2X (yes I’m coining this naming scheme) bullshit. Y’all gonna regret wanting a Series 2P, mark my words.
