Why i haven't played 5 yet. That framerate gonna kill me. Hopefully all future SMTs are multiplat. 

I wonder what it is that has people excited about ID's next game, all this vague teasing, from Phil and others, now Shinobi in the ResetEra thread.

I mean, ID Software is awesome and all and of course another Doom would likely be another banger but is it worth the vague teasing? It's another Doom.

Is Quake worth the teasing even? Idk....What if they're working on a new IP? Lol.

I hope it's another Doom. Never played the Quake games so I'm not against that either. New IPs are also welcome of course.... so honestly whatever it is, it's bound to be a banger.

A reboot of Quake would be massive! Although id Software would have to make sure the multiplayer isn’t an afterthought the way they are in the new Doom games.

Because id has their own convention, it’s usually a pretty big deal when they have a new game. Plus, Quake basically invented Esports.

I've never played Doom or Quake aside from the Doom 2016 multiplayer beta, which was meh imo. Quake seems the more interesting of the two with it's Lovecraftian elements, so I will hope for a Quake reboot next from them. Probably is Quake since Doom Year One from the ABK court case document leaks seems to have been cancelled based on what we have heard from leakers.

It was only the first game that had Lovecraftian elements. The second and fourth games were purely a sci-fi setting and the third game was just multiplayer but I do remember the maps being a combo of Lovecraftian and sci-fi.

i would love if id is rebooting Quake to lean more in the Lovecraftian elements. Quake Champions had several maps with that kind of influence and they looked weird and awesome! 

Looks like we lost G2 to PS5. Xbox Empire really down bad.
