I just realized, quite a few June 2023 announcements tonight. Surely Redfall and Starfield should definitely release before that. Right? Right?!

Redfall should be Early April (which has no games announced right now), and Starfield May 5th, International Space Day, imo.

There has to be some sort of event early in 2023. There just has to be. Xbox can't just be shadow dropping marketing videos for these games. They're too big of deals to treated like that. Especially with Starfield being THE exclusive of the year for Xbox!

I mean, there is GDC in March and PAX East in late April, but they definitely shouldn't wait that long to start the pre-launch marketing for either of these games. Hopefully Xbox has something in the works for 2023 that we don't know about, either an XO23 showcase event, or a Nintendo direct like digital show, that has alot more games and alot less talking than Xbox's last attempt to do a Nintendo Direct like show, Inside Xbox. Needs to actually be like Nintendo Direct or Sony State of Play if they go that route.

Pretty crap day for Xbox, FTC blocking ABK, and a no show at The Game Awards.

Perfect ending to the worst year in Xbox's history, without a single AAA exclusive launching. Sigh.

Yeah, I'm pretty sad. Just drop Activision, keep Blizzard and King and call it a day.

Wonder if because of this MS will ever get anymore studios
Guess they going to have to make their own games now :/ or moneyhat.....

Probably best if they just start hatting games again regardless. Clearly Sony has no plans to stop, and clearly the regulators don't consider the practice to be anti-competitive since they give zero shits about Sony hatting like 8 AAA games in the last 3 years, plus a bunch of smaller hats, but are more worried about Xbox buying Activision and keeping CoD multiplat (so anti-competitive). Start up some hats of your own. Hat Bioshock 4 if Sony hasn't already, would be a nice callback to the original Bioshock being hatted by Xbox. Hat Project ReFantasy from Atlus to counter Sony's Final Fantasy hats.

I honestly would be fine with that. King makes more money than Activision or Blizzard, and Diablo IV is going to be absolutely massive! Diablo 3 sold 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours after launch. And that was just on PC.

Now the game that is going back to Diablo’s roots is releasing on multiple platforms at once. Gonna be a record breaking launch. And this is all without Activision.
