I'm far more concerned by the lack of Redfall at the show than the lack of Starfield. Bethesda can drop a Starfield release date reveal trailer outside of any show and get many millions of views across their own youtube and repostings on IGN and such within a few days. That is not an issue at all. Redfall though, Redfall's marketing thus far has been a complete and total disaster. Barely anyone even seems to know it exists, let alone are hyped for it. The trailer for it with the most views is the reveal trailer on the Bethesda Russia channel ironically, with 1.1m views after a year and a half, but the same trailer has a measly 463k views after 18 months on Bethesda's main US youtube channel and just 302k on Xbox's youtube channel, while the gameplay reveal from 5 months ago has just 481k on Bethesda's main channel and 302k on Xbox's main channel, quite poor for a AAA game. Xbox really could have used promotion for Redfall on The Game Awards, which gets over 80m viewers.

Now basically their only option is to shadowdrop a release date reveal trailer onto their Youtube channels outside of any event, which will also get barely any views just like the earlier trailers did. Seems like the only paths to success for Redfall now are: Xbox spending a small fortune on a tv marketing campaign for Redfall when it releases, or streamers loving it and giving it a ton of free advertising with streams when it releases.

He definitely seemed less happy than usual, can't really blame him though, he must be going through 10 years of stress in 1 week Jez did say he heard Xbox might not show up and speculated it may be because of regulatory pressure, maybe it's true and Microsoft's lawyers have effectively muzzled Xbox but I still can't think why it makes sense.

The regulators already know about the games, are they that awful that it would severely impact the deal if Microsoft spoke a bit more about them? Lol.

The Lords of the Fallen, Remnant 2, Space Marine 2, Banishers, Judas and Jedi Survivor all look great.

Will likely get Jedi Survivor and Armored Core at launch.

Honestly, I don't think Xbox is going to go after anymore publishers after this lol. It's been such a headache that idk if they feel it'll be worth it whether the ActiBlizz deal passes or not

I just realized, quite a few June 2023 announcements tonight. Surely Redfall and Starfield should definitely release before that. Right? Right?!
