I liked the format and the layout of the graphics. AW2 looks great and the Robocop game looks absolutely ridiculous lol but no BG3 kinda bummed me out. Makes me wonder just how far behind development of the Xbox version they are that 2023 seems like a pipe dream no matter what that guy says.

Xbox Partner Preview: Every Announcement and Trailer From Our Third-Party Partners - Xbox Wire

Format was like a 9/10 but I would say that a voice should be speaking on the parts where it goes to the card and tells you to go to Xbox Wire, like just a voice to recap stuff adds a bit more personality, for example someone saying "Alan Wake 2 releases on October 27, 2023 for Xbox Series S/X and PC. Head over to Xbox Wire to see exclusive behind-the-scenes access around the creation of Alan Wake 2!"

And it can even be voiced by Tina, it's not really "needed" but it adds more of a lively feeling to things that the Nintendo Directs have rather than the silence when it goes to the graphics after the trailer is shown. Tina should be the narrator because she is the one responsible for these awesome formats like Developer Direct and Partner Preview.

Format was great, but there hasn't been that many games here that interest me personally. Also, out of 11 games shown there was only 2 new announcements. I hope that in the later partner showcases there will be more new announcements instead of just showcasing games that we have a lot of info about already. Still, not bad for a first try, they need to continue with this format and have like 3-4 such showcases per year.

........what? The remaster of Ark is still going to be an early access launch?!

Tina has been one of the best recent Xbox hires, I think both Developer Direct and Partner Showcase have brilliant formats whilst at the same time they're a bit different from each other, Developer Direct is more personal and a more in depth dive to a fewer range of games with developers speaking over them, the Partner Direct is more games on a quicker pace but the pacing is perfect and there's a nice variety, the graphics are lovely too.

With a little tweaking both of these formats can exist side-by-side and be 10/10 formats.

Partner Preview could have done with one or two bigger reveals (like BG3 date) but it was a solid first attempt and Tina can only work with what games that marketing gives her and from that standpoint I liked the variety and there were a few good looking games but it could do with a surprise or two. Maybe Square could have tossed them something, Lol

  • Infinite Wealth, Ikaro, Still Wakes The Deep, MGS, Alan Wake 2 all looked good.
  • Ark *looks* good but it's Ark so it's going to run like absolute shit.
  • The Final's destruction looks crazy good but not my type of game.
