However, every journey has an end. As 1.17 was Minecraft Dungeons’ final update, our team has now moved on to new projects that continue to explore experiences in the Minecraft universe. This means that there are no new features or content updates planned for the game. We do intend to continue bringing new experiences to the Minecraft universe and give our team the freedom to keep exploring the types of games they're passionate about – just as they did with Dungeons!

Tales of Symphonia kinda overrated. Not really getting the love for this. Maybe if they modernized some of the aspects, but in 2023, this aint that special pal.

I feel like whatever Tales game is a persons first Tales game is usually their favorite, and each one after that they like less and less.  Tales of Symphonia was my first Tales game, and I beat it at least 3 times on the Gamecube.  I haven't had a chance to play the remaster, which I believe they downgraded from the Gamecube's 60fps to 30fps on the remaster.  Maybe I was just starved for a good rpg, since I went the whole N64 generation without one, but I really enjoyed all of the characters, the story, the combat.  I would have to play it again, to see how much the game has aged.

Hmm, well that's true for me, as Vesperia was my first and still my favorite in the series.

Not true at all.

My first Tales game was Eternia (Formerly Destiny 2 on PS1) for the PSP.

Abyss is my favorite but I really enjoyed Graces F

Tempest is the worst alongside Radiant Mythology but Radiant Mythology wasnt really a Tales series game, just a MMO clone with main characters from Tales games mixed up in a Dungeon Crawler type of deal.

Phantasia, Abyss, and Graces F are my favorites so far.

Last one I played was Xillia but that was like three years ago - will be playing Xillia 2 next before I play all the other ones in my backlog: Symphonia (PC), Berseria (PS4/Steam), Zestiria (PS4/Steam), Vesperia (Steam/PS4/NS/Xbox), and Arise (PS4/Steam). (Yes I have all those games in those platforms...and yes I quad dup purchased Vesperia...I mean it was like $7.50 to $10 for each version lol).

These are all the Tales games I have finished.

Tales of Phantasia (PS1): 90
Tales of the Abyss (PS2): 90
Tales of Eternia (PSP): N/A
Tales of Legendia (PS2): 83
Tales of Symphonia (GCN): 88
Tales of Graces F (PS3): 94
Tales of Xillia (PS3): 87
Tales of the Tempest (DS): 64
Tales of Innocence (DS): 84
Tales of the World Radiant Mythology (PSP): 72

Edit: The reason why I rated Tempest so low is because it only took me 10 hours, the story was half assed and the 2nd half of the game they rushed the development to the point that the ending made no sense compared to the rest of the story.

Finished Starfield's main story! I'll post my full thoughts soon, now I'm going to be jumping between clearing up Starfield achievements and some other side stuff and starting Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty. Got to level 72 in Starfield without grinding, I might just save the level 100 achievement for the expansion, I've still a few quests to do and I haven't done Sam or Andreja's companion quests yet so I should end around 75, I'm guessing.

There are always exceptions to my made up rules, I find when I look up a Tales game on youtube or reddit, most comments are usually this or that Tales game was my first Tales game and my childhood or my favorite.

While gamers may view Jim Ryan especially Xbox gamers one way, probably at Sony and in the industry they view him much different. What I mean by that is that during his time, Sony has pretty much peaked with how they have approached the gaming market and how they stand against their own competition. The number one thing for any CEO is not to mess things up, extend the growth of your product and services and compete with your competitors and build on your marketshare advantage. On all these points Jim Ryan has done the job. Even during COVID Sony did not miss a beat while we cannot say the same for MS and even Nintendo had some gap in production. While MS gamers may not like the 3rd party deals Jim and his team has done, you have to admit those 3rd party deals were very effective in making the PS system the most popular console and the must have console for a lot of gamers. Jim is definitely pure corporate C level exec but to dismiss his efforts on the business front is to always underestimate what he has done.

True, for me, Ryan has done a respectable job all around, some might have felt disconnected from him since he doesn't really carry the gamer persona but I think he did what he had to do when he had to do it.

The only actual caveat was all the faux concerns and blatant hypocritical position he displayed with the MS ABK acquisition, even though I understand why he did so it was still a petty show all around.

Other than that there's no denying he achieved the goals he sought for PS5.

IMO he even successfully positioned the PS5 to be able to entrench the classical approach to selling games one more gen rather than having to embrace an early switch to a less profitable (short-term) day-and-date release on subscription service strategy. And that's no easy feat when your main competitor is trying to change the very definition of success in this industry to just that. The only way he had to pull it off was to sell as many ps5 as possible early on and so he did even if it meant discounting the PS5 all the while it was still selling at a record pace by all industry standards.

However, despite the fact he succeeded in doing so, I think a flip to day-and-date release in the subscription is unavoidable and will happen sooner or later and there's no denying that by entrenching a classical approach Playstation has left MS with a huge lead on this front. This may have the unfortunate consequence that Ryan's works may also be viewed as a hit on short-term profitability with limited ROI potential over the longer game and, as a consequence, having to heavily invest to catch up with the competition in this metric when they do finally flip. Now add the effect of ABK for MS and this future is pretty much guaranteed and should be quite obvious even to Sony BoD. If that's the case I think It might be a reason for his departure, don't think he was forced out in any way, he probably felt like his direction up to now might not be seen in the same light as before so he'll leave while at the top of his game.

I wasn't a fan of Tempest either it's my least favourite Tales game from all that I've played I really liked Xillia and Legendia the most although I'm stilling trying to get around to the newest few games that have been stuck in the backlog for way to long. One day..Soon™

Hopefully Xbox can give jobs to a lot of these skilled Epic and Creative Assembly former employees.
