They'll demand that Microsoft gives them the CoD IP next.

"The only way to preserve the integrity and health of the gaming industry, is for Microsoft to hand over Xbox to us."

The big wild card is still the CMA and I imagine MS is the most concerned about them as well (they know they'll beat the FTC in court and it seems the EC is actually open to concessions).
That said, I imagine going to court significantly increases the timeline for closing the deal (In the US at least). So that is probably a thorn in MS's side.

Ah, that's interesting. Lets hope the EC passes the deal soon then.

It feels like Microsoft already knows where FTC is heading so they're placing all their bets on EC. Hoping that EC approval in January would put pressure on both CMA and FTC, China is also reportedly waiting on EC's decision, so the hope would be that EC causes a domino effect and knocks everyone else down aside from FTC who Microsoft will then take to court.
But if CMA still blocks despite EC approving then the deal is fucked, Imo.

Yeah, that is just pure insanity. They think they deserve CoD day one on PS+, same as Gamepass, without paying Xbox to compensate them for all of the lost CoD sales from people not buying and playing on PS+ instead? Pure psychopathy.
We can still hope that Microsoft's leaked threat of going to court will cause FTC to back off, it may be a game of chicken right now, FTC can't win without CMA/EC. They also had very strong opinions against Amazon/MGM, and they annoyed Amazon so much that they asked for Lina to be removed from the investigation, in the end though, FTC backed off and let it happen.
