Definitely the best thing to do. Just release the game and have split screen on Series S be a post-launch update. 

@Shika What were you thoughts on Sonic Frontiers? These boss battles are the best in the series and some of the best I've played in a long time... It's like the FF 16 bosses without all the flash. Epic ass song, super sonic, and the moves that sonic does. Went right through one dude's heart, sliced another in half anime style.

Just finished the shutting down 6 towers mission... love it!!!

only critiques to me are the graphics (feel like made for switch... ugh), that first grave puzzle, pinball was a little annoying, and the 3rd location with the many islands getting around was a little annoying. 

Combat is pretty fun, the speed feels right, levels are tight as well, bosses are an absolute highlight, this tower section is another great highlight. 

Great game for sure, big step up over some of the other more recent 3D Sonic games. Loved the leveling mechanics, loved the open world platforming challenges, the throwback dataspace levels were cool, good soundtrack, great boss fights, some of the best story beats in the entire series with quite alot of character development. Looking forward to playing the DLC as soon as I finish Starfield, 3 other playable characters and new storyline.

If they stick with what worked in Frontiers, combine it with the Adventure formula like they have been hinting they plan to do, and improve their engine some while dropping Switch 1 and PS4/XB1 in favor of current gen and Switch 2, I think the next game will probably be the best 3D Sonic in the series. Just make sure you bring back Chao Garden.

Yeah, that song was stuck in my head for weeks after playing it. Sonic music always slaps, blows my mind how Sonic never wins or even gets nominated for any Best Soundtrack awards. Half of my all-time favorite video game tracks are from Sonic games.

I was reading your post on stuff to add to the game (before I read that last sentence) to make it better and in my head I said Chao Garden lol. They bring that back from Sonic Adventures 2.. and wow... Agreed on your other points as well. 

Frontiers made it to the finals here, at least.
