Just finished Venba. Nice, lovely game. Really short but that doesn't matter. Just something different and for some reason satisfying.

Say the acquisition closes late August, should Microsoft release ABK titles into Game Pass ASAP or spread them across September?

Course I don't imagine there's much overlap between Starfield and COD but maybe there is a little with Diablo IV.

We're going to have the mother of all drops if this acquisition closes late August-Early September.

Save it all for the Holiday season with plenty of hardware available, and let Santa come to town.

IIRC Sony's marketing deal is for 5 years so I'm going to assume the COD's released in the past 5 years can't come to Game Pass but the others are free.

Although there was an email between Jim and Phil where Jim essentially said there's no point in them keeping the marketing agreement once Microsoft acquires them, I'm going to assume that is partly because Sony will be advertising for a rival's videogame, maybe also because of the special contract Sony currently employs with Activision where Activision gets a larger split of the digital income.

Maybe Sony will actually drop the marketing agreement...

Shame Game Pass Core is September, Lol.

Like, I'm fine with it, but I think September could be Game Pass biggest month ever even without the artificial inflation I would have been interested in hearing if Microsoft had anything to say about it in the next fiscal report but now that report would also include Game Pass Core so ehh, Lol. Best we can get is individual titles player numbers but any overall Game Pass boost will be skewed by GP Core.

I also liked someone's idea here that Game Pass Core should include the older COD titles. Maybe any COD older than 3 years old or something is in GP Core but the more recent CODs are GP Console or GP Ultimate only. I think there's a huge portion of COD players who likely only have XBLG for COD only and don't give a shit about GP so feed em the older CODs but tempt them with the higher offering with the newer CODs.
