If the next one does well under the new name, it really seems MS should buy EA to end PlayStation is dominance in Europe.I mean the sales difference is so huge between the platforms. Kind of remarkable how much gamers award EA being lazy.

Well, that's an interesting topic. I don't know how much is real and how much is myth, but it has always been said that, because of the way FIFA sold them the rights, EA had to bring the franchise to every console out there unless it was proven to be unprofitable. That may explain why the only bother with the sh*tty Legacy bullsg!t for Switch, because they made FIFA believe that the new game wouldn't be profitable, or maybe it's just that they hope people will stop buying it and then they can stop making it.

In any case, the interesting part here is: now that EA will no longer use the FIFA branding, are they still forced to bring the game to every platform? Because if they aren't, then a buyout from Sony or MSoft becomes more viable than before.

With that said, I doubt MSoft would go after them. Buying Acti-Blizz is already causing some concerns from market regulators and trying to buy EA would likely be a no-go from them. Sony could get away with it because they haven't purchased a big publisher yet.

I know more than a few people Here that buy the Madden NFL games everytime one comes out. They are really into the sport so they buy it no matter what and EA knows this.
