A member of NeoGAF who is also a member of the gaming media has disclosed that Banjo Kazooie 3's embargo ends on May 13th. He has also seen it and describes the game as having taken him by surprise and that the core idea behind it is "very fresh and new". He later went on to say that he is very excited about the game.

I'm so excited about this game. For me this is easily the second best platforming series ever after mario. Let's hope they can revolutionize the genre a bit like SMG did.

I wonder how much BK3 will have improved upon the original two games? Will BK3 be a lot better than Kameo? Kameo's worst feature was those horrendous fluorescent colours throughout the game.
Lets hope mario finally gets some competition. All we need now is a resurgent sonic platformer.
^And a real Donkey Kong platformer would be nice too.

I loved the colour pallete for Kameo, the game's main problem was it was too short. The gameplay was very good, but they could perhaps add some depth to it.
Nonetheless, Banjo will be streets ahead of any platformer other than Galaxy, I can feel it.
