I had two PS3s - a 40gb I flipped and a 20gb that I still have. Full BC is the best way to go. When you are talking about hardware (20gb, 60gb) vs. software (80gb) PS2 emulation, give me full BC all the time.

I wish there was a 360 that did full BC - hence why I still have my Xbox.

Another good thing about BC and the PS3? You can create virtual memory cards and import all of your PS2 saves onto your PS3's hard drive. You'll have to buy an adapter - I got mine for $10 from Gamestop, even though you'll pretty much use it just once. I would also flip the standard Sixaxis controllers and get a new one with rumble too.

NPs on my end - and go full BC if you can find one.

I think he will only be able to find a used 60GB, not a new anymore.

And I'm truly thinking about getting a PS2 Slim because of emulation on the 80GB PS3. It hurts not being able to play the PS2 games I want to play but PS3 80GB emulation is holding me back.

Same can be said for the Xbox 360 emulation sucks. The only 2 things that benefits having a Xbox 360 and 20/60/80GB PS3 is because the original Xbox and original PS2 is packed in the suggested consoles above and also factoring in the games can be upscaled. Thats it, I don't find the upscaling any beautiful.

So really for me I have a Gamecube because there is some games that still need to be played on that console. So I will be buying a used Xbox, which is priced at $60US at Gamestop and I'm going to buy a used or new PS2 slim.

Actually ... I found a brand-new 60gb at a Kmart for $499. Sure, it was full price, but had the warranty and the free 5 blu ray movies to boot. I ended up getting a pristine 20gb instead.

Heck, even Toys R Us had BN 20gbs for $299 - but only in select stores.

360 emulation sucks. IMHO, MS should have just installed an Xbox chip in the machine - and made things even hotter inside.

Because of the lack of real BC in the 360, I have to pull out the Xbox to play Chronicles of Riddick: Butcher Bay, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit II, Freedom Fighters and a few other hits WHILE Barbie rides a pony or a variation makes every BC addition cut.

You just have to ask around - but there are a few 20, 60gbs PS3s, brand new, out there. They are very hard to find, but they still exist.

Awesome, I figured there would be some in the wild. But namely at stores that people overlook.

I want to play Riddick and Freedom Fighters so back but those titles like you said didn't make the cut. Which sucks really bad.

I'm getting an Xbox this week. Just curious though, are you able to transfer your Xbox 360 gamertag to the original Xbox?

I've heard that the 80gb does a passable job. You don't have to ask how the 60gb is for BC - it's virtually flawless. The only problem with the 60gb is that it can suffer from controller sync issues because of a not-as-robust bluetooth antenna. (the 60gb and 20gb models have a different antenna than what is put into the newer ones)

I have a 20 GB, never had a single problem with BC, except in the case of Silent Hill 1.

Sorry, don't mean to be a troll, but this is just funny. Never had a single problem, other then the single problem.

I personally, have not had any issues with BC. The only problems I really know of is that controllers don't works, so games like DDR and GH for the PS2 are unplayable.

The software itself plays, you just can't use the controllers.

Proud owner of a 60GB PS3. I haven't had any BC problems at all; I've been able to play all of my PS2 games on it.

I have a 60gb and thus far BC has been flawless, aside from some skipping sound in Shadow of the Colossus. I've played through MGS 1-3, GoW 1/2, Jak 3, Shadow of the Colossus, and a few others so far, and I'm going to start Rogue Galaxy soon.

If you have the receipt from ANY PS3 purchased before 1-31-08, and postmarked by 2-28-08, you'd get the 5 free Blus.
