I think Japan tried this theory with the DS.  It failed.  They started buying them for museums and classrooms and dogs and babies and everything.  Now Japanese families have an extra DS stuck to the fridge just for Cooking Navi.

This is the first one I've started, and the first one I've seen in a long time, and this is the first time I think it's been such a huge unexpected jump in a week with no huge releases.  I know it's just the same old random supply issues, so it can happen at any time, but I thought this kind of leap would happen closer to Wii Fit and Mario Kart in the U.S.  I think production's ramping up AND there will be a huge jump around Wii Fit and Mario Kart, AND it's all downhill from here to the Wii getting 110% OF WW MARKETSHARE.

There was at least one other "Wii reaches 44.5% - highest ever?" type thread (that might have been the actual title). But then the next 2 or 3 weeks it took a beating and went down to 44.1% or so, and I swear a few people (anyone want to take a guess at who they were) were saying that it would "never recover" and that this was evidence that the Wii would never reach 50% market share... So this is a good reminder that the Wii is still heading, slowly, to that point.

1 of them was from last year, and talked about the UK only.

One wasn't just about the Wii was about Wii and PS3.

So there was only 1 thread this year that showed this.
