Well I bought it over the 360 because it has Blu-ray. I still want to play the games that come out on it one of them being GTA4.
my parents bought the ps3 for a bluray. it happens to play great games too so that makes me happy!
porn, mostly. it looks better than real life.

Blu-ray helped, but it wasn't the deciding factor.

I bought the PS3 just because of the games that will be released in the coming years. I could care less about Blu-ray. It was more of a add-on for me. I only have one Blu-ray movie and thats SuperBad.
The prices for the Blu-ray's are high when you compare it to original DVD's. I still buy DVD's movies and I might get Blu-ray's, once I find out Smallville and several other series move to the format.

Although I have to say, if anyone is interested in a blu-ray player, PS3 is the best choice for them.
I own more than 10 blu-Ray disc, and I have my external harddrive attached to it and watch my Divx movies on my big screen tv. But, foremost, it is STILL a game console. All other features are just a nice bonus

I mainly use it for Blu Ray. Sometimes I download games - but I use the Blu Ray for both games and movies :P I'm just an optical disc gamer :D

End of 2011 Sales: Wii = 90mil, 360 = 61mil, PS3= 60mil
I mainly use mine for games. Believe it or not, the Ratchet and Clank series was the tipping point for me; if MS had that, I would have gone with the 360.
