Forums - Gaming - Unofficially Confirmed - MGS4 coming to 360

Man ... I don't even own an XBox 360 and hope Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII get ported to the XBox 360 because of how childish the PS3 fans can be at times.

"Hey, I don't have a reasonable argument and don't understand why a game could take up 25GB so I'll photoshop 15DVDs together"

What, can't take a joke?

Jeez, when someone pokes fun at Sony, it's fair game, when you do it to someone else, it's below the belt.

Power of the Console? Haven't you noticed the ridiculous frame rate drops and forced slow motion in your PS3 games? Hell the Baseball commercial that just came out for the PS3 has a Framerate drop right in the commercial. Face it, your powerhouse can't even handle itself.

And the HD-DVD drive can play the games and particular games with increased graphics. And yes, Hybrid HD-DVDs can be played on regular DVD players.

1. NO, You are wrong, sorry to break it to you HD-DVDs cannot be played in a DVD player. The DVD side of a disc can be played in a DVD player, that IS NOT an HD-DVD. Do you even own high def?

Also, are you really using a piece of shit EA Sports game as a point of reference? Everyone knows that every year that just rewrite so code for the new itterance of their lineup and they haven't had an original title in awhile.

Again, do you have ANY proof that the HD-DVD drive could ever be used to play games through? Does anyone else? If it can, great, but prove it.

1. I never said a DVD player could play HD-DVD, just that it could play HD-DVD as a regular DVD if it was a hybrid, this was in response to the jab about an earlier thread. If you weren't there, don't act like you know what you're talking about.

2. So is every Ps3 game made by EA?

3. Does it matter? We have proof that MGS4 can easily be put on 1-2 360 discs with compression.

Wouldn't you rather believe lead developer Hideo Kojima rather than some unknown site? "Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima simultaneously appeases Sony's fanboys and disappoints Microsoft's by stating that MGS4 will remain PS3-exclusive." http://www.gametrailers.com/viewnews.php?id=4375 Until proven otherwise, this is a PS3 exclusive.

Agreed. I thought it was funny too. It's not fair that PS3 jokes are hilarious, and 360/Wii jokes are insensitive and mean. Come on, people. We can poke harmless fun at all consoles, or none of them. "You can poke fun at the consoles I don't own" is not a valid selection.

1.) No, a normal DVD player will only read the side that has the normal DVD.

2.) Could you provide a link that says it will take up 2 disks?

Oh ,we have proof ?

 Where is that proof ?

For the time being Blu Dragon is in 3 DVD9 COMPRESSED .MGSIV will be far more demanding .

Some of you are just assuming Kojima isnt compressing things for the game ,but the reality is you dont know anything .

That's true, Dio, but it is fair to say that a 50 GB game would absolutely blow away all previous records. World of Warcraft is about 9 gigs, to give you an idea, and while the graphical requirements are obviously lower, the world is enormously expansive and detailed.

So you're right, it's possible that it really is that large, and I agree that these people aren't basing their argument on any information specific to MGS4; but the people aren't just shooting in the dark, either. Based on the requirements of other high end games, MGS4 would need to be 2-3 times as large to really be fitting the 50GB+ bill. That isn't impossible, it's simply unlikely based on historical evidence.

1. That's what I said. A hybrid has two sides. What part of this confused you?

2. Yeah, here you go. http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=2462

And with everytime specs are released on this game its suddenly less and less impressive everytime, I wouldn't be surprised if it only took up a whole Blu-Ray disc because they chose to uncompress its data. Good luck with loading times.

Sony doesn't have a winner here. I'm sorry, you backed the wrong horse, though I could have told you that with Sony's business ethics surrounding the PS2 and PSP. I could care less about the 360 too, but if it hurts the PS3, I'll back its ports. I also love the baseless retorts of Sony fans claiming anyone not them doesn't know what they're talking about. because you know, Hideo Kojima is a reliable source, lol.

I don't know what I'm talking about you say? The Wii is selling like mad without a single fucking worthwhile exclusive game to its name yet and is only limited in sales by how many they can produce. The 360 has a powerful start in the market with Halo 3 on the horizon. And you're trying to convince us the Ps3 has a fucking chance? Yeah, we're the ones who don't know what we're talking about.

only 20 disks?

I think 2-3 of them are the exclusive content.

LOL, that's some funny chit man!

In any case the PS3 version will be the supreme one because that's the system the game was designed around.
