Power of the Console? Haven't you noticed the ridiculous frame rate drops and forced slow motion in your PS3 games? Hell the Baseball commercial that just came out for the PS3 has a Framerate drop right in the commercial. Face it, your powerhouse can't even handle itself.

And the HD-DVD drive can play the games and particular games with increased graphics. And yes, Hybrid HD-DVDs can be played on regular DVD players.

1. NO, You are wrong, sorry to break it to you HD-DVDs cannot be played in a DVD player. The DVD side of a disc can be played in a DVD player, that IS NOT an HD-DVD. Do you even own high def?

Also, are you really using a piece of shit EA Sports game as a point of reference? Everyone knows that every year that just rewrite so code for the new itterance of their lineup and they haven't had an original title in awhile.

Again, do you have ANY proof that the HD-DVD drive could ever be used to play games through? Does anyone else? If it can, great, but prove it.

3. Does it matter? We have proof that MGS4 can easily be put on 1-2 360 discs with compression.

Oh ,we have proof ?

Where is that proof ?

For the time being Blu Dragon is in 3 DVD9 COMPRESSED .MGSIV will be far more demanding .

Some of you are just assuming Kojima isnt compressing things for the game ,but the reality is you dont know anything .

That's true, Dio, but it is fair to say that a 50 GB game would absolutely blow away all previous records. World of Warcraft is about 9 gigs, to give you an idea, and while the graphical requirements are obviously lower, the world is enormously expansive and detailed.

So you're right, it's possible that it really is that large, and I agree that these people aren't basing their argument on any information specific to MGS4; but the people aren't just shooting in the dark, either. Based on the requirements of other high end games, MGS4 would need to be 2-3 times as large to really be fitting the 50GB+ bill. That isn't impossible, it's simply unlikely based on historical evidence.
