Oh by all means, I can't wait to see the PS3's unbridled success because you know, 600 dollars will be less expensive by then, lol. I've had people like you tell me each of the said games would be system sellers and later recant it with, oh no, those weren't system sellers, what are you talking about. With an estimated 250 dollar loss on each unit sold don't expect the PS3's price tag to drop anytime soon.

And its kind of hard to have exclusives outside of their inhouse department when their sales are so dismal. Sony has only reported a 2billion dollar loss and their stock keeps taking pot shots. Sure they'll have God of War 3, but that's about all. Developers are abandoning them and market analysist are laughing at them. Sorry to tell ya, but this isn't going to be like the PS1 and PS2.

and what sales are you talking about specifically... console sales or game sales???? if you are talking about 3rd party game sales then the only games that i have seen hit the market either suck or are ports... if thats what you are basing your so called knowledge off of then you dont need to comment any further

OK... Kojima stated he will have trouble putting the game on the 50GB Blu-Ray disc... so... if this was to happen.. there would be like 15 DVDs.. remember each DVD has to contain the main game engine. Plus Kojima's comments of the PS3 being like a theater would become a joke and what Kojima says always holds truth. Also original source is a post on the xbox forums that was deleted.

Personally, I don't believe that any developer has the resources to make a game with 25GB of compressed unique game content. Assuming a 2 year development cycle (and 260 working days per year) you're averaging 50 MB of data a day in compressed game content; if that was music it woud represent 10 to 20 band days of work, or it would represent hundreds (200+) of textuxture artist/3D modelers/level designers days of work.

This means that the space is likely taken up by content which is not unique, not compressed, or (potentially) neither compressed nor unique.

I feel sorry for 360 fans, seems their games suck so badly they desperatly want some of PS3 games lol. Its not coming to 360 atleast not with in 1 year of the PS3 release date, and extra 360 content just where will they fit it ?

This is the news from Super Play "At the end of 2007, one of the biggest titles to be released for any of the current generation consoles is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. As the follow up to the blockbuster smash hit PS2 title Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, it will problably sell extremely well and be played by many PS3 fans. However, sole owners of Wii and Xbox 360 would have to do without it. Fortunately, Konami isn´t completely blind to the fact that more gamers deserve to play this epic title, and it is now confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Xbox 360 will launch a year later in November 2008. It will come with new content additions including VR missions and other bonus gameplay like Snake Tales, which lets you go on more objective-based missions -- some quite lengthy. So, there's no question that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Xbox 360 comes packed with more content than the original PS3-version. Seemingly, the Xbox 360 Metal Gear would have been the one to wait for, but Konami respond by releasing the slightly beefed up Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3 as well." And here it is the news from wich it has bee copied and paste from years ago http://insider.ign.com/teasers/388/388211.html March 5, 2003 - At the end of 2001, one of the biggest titles to be released for any of the current generation consoles was Metal Gear Solid 2. As the follow up to the blockbuster smash hit PSX title Metal Gear Solid, it went on to sell extremely well and be played by many PS2 fans. However, sole owners of GameCube and Xbox would have to do without it. Fortunately, Konami wasn't completely blind to the fact that more gamers deserved to play the epic title, and it released Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for the Xbox a year later in November 2002. This came with new content additions including VR missions and other bonus gameplay like Snake Tales, which lets you go on more objective-based missions -- some quite lengthy. So, there's no question that Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance comes packed with more content than the original MGS2 on PS2. Seemingly, the Xbox Metal Gear would have been the one to buy, but Konami responded quickly by releasing the slightly beefed up So there you have it .....this is as fake as it gets .

I don't get it...that's not the article we're looking at though.

This article is Ron saying that, as an insider, he is aware of MGS4 becoming a 360 port.  It's not unbelievable, and it's not like Nov. 2008 is absurd...

I'm not even sure why I doubted the article anymore.

Diomedes why do you try to ruin my thread with lies??

Kojima says alot of things, not always smart things. He's a braggard.

1 BR = 5 DVD9s = 10 DVDs so get over yourself already.

Keep telling yourself Sony will be okay, that everything will be one up for Sony, but the fact of the matter remains, things are looking Grim and I dread seeing the framerate lag/drops of MGS4 PS3 version. Hell, the Ps3 can barely handle the games on it now and you're expecting to somehow magically handle this alleged graphical behemoth?

Oh and it wouldn't be unfeasable to release a special edition HD-DVD version of the game in addition to the regular game for the 360 for those who don't want a multi-disc game.

Since when can the 360 play games through the HD-DVD drive, do you have any proof of this, or any reference point? I have never heard this, every response you have continues to get more asinine.

Plus, that the PS3 can barely handle the games on it now, are you just trying to be a jerk? It takes time to really harness the power of any console, b/c they all have programming challenges, If this is the best that the consoles have to look forward to then it's pathetic for anyone that considers themselves a gamer. Stop being such an ass, there is no need for it.

You have to understand this is the same dude that said HD-DVDs can be played on normal DVD players.

This port probably wouldn't be 5-6 DVD like people are saying. As I have said in the past, the only reason the PS3 version took up so much space is that its data in uncompressed and they did some fancy sound effects which took up a lot of space. All they have to do is redo the sounds and compress the files and you have a 5 gb game. I was seriously doubting the credibility of the Destructoid article, I tend to not get my hopes up too high just incase, but all these other articles are starting to dent my armor. I am rather surprised myself, because Sony is making Konami a movie for Metal Gear. This is a lot of back stabbing IMO. Oh, yes I am a fanboy, yes I am waiting for the PS3 to die. My opinion, 360 doesn't have a wide enough scope of players to dethrown the Wii, so if PS3 dies the Wii will be all powerful. At least I'm honest.

Power of the Console? Haven't you noticed the ridiculous frame rate drops and forced slow motion in your PS3 games? Hell the Baseball commercial that just came out for the PS3 has a Framerate drop right in the commercial. Face it, your powerhouse can't even handle itself.

And the HD-DVD drive can play the games and particular games with increased graphics. And yes, Hybrid HD-DVDs can be played on regular DVD players.

Aww man, I wish Hus was around. I really wish I could read this thoughts on this... XD
